Lizzy and Max were already done with the divorce. They both took their separate ways. As if this wasn't enough for Lizzy, Max also fired her from the position of the singer at the bar. He hated her. Not because she cheated on him with his rival but because the ring, that symbol of unition was nothing to her that just a piece of material. He didn't love her anyways. This marriage was forced. If he hated something very much that was the materialists just like his wife.
He was now all alone in the office of his mansion. He was lost in thought as he smoked his cigarette. The house was way too silent now that his ex wife was absent. Even if he at least had his butler or his maids and chefs. Nothing was the same for him. But he had to move on sooner or later. He couldn't deny a strange feeling building up inside him though.
Lizzy on the other hand was walking around the bar. She was taking a last glance at everything around her. The bar was empty after another busy night. She glanced at the stage, the backstage, the tables where her audience used to apploud her, the staff and everything else. The last thing her gaze fell upon was Richard's table. What she'd miss more was him.
Richard was sat at his usual table still. The last events with Roxanne in his mind. So that was it. That was the end of their relationship. He couldn't believe that it hand to end up in such a pessimistic manner. Deep inside him he wished he could change things. He wished he could get her back. He wished he had never listened to Lizzy. Why did he have to be so weak when it comes to women?
His eyes soon met Lizzy's. There was a moment of intense eye contact between them. Then the male turned to face something else. Lizzy's smile faded. She then turned around and said her goodbyes to her assistants during her journey at this bar. Then she took her things and left. Same did Richard after he paid for the numerous of glasses of hard liquor he drank that night.
The mafioso was now walking all alone at the empty streets. His mind never being taken off of Roxanne. He started thinking about everything that had happened between them. From the day they met to the moment they parted ways. He thought of how that certain woman had taken his mind away, how she had her way with him, how he spent so much time with her, how her touch felt during those few private moments they had, how he ended up hurting her, how she now looked at him with eyes of hatred or disapproval, how she ignored him.
Roxanne though was alone as well. Sat on a swing at a park in the middle of the night. Her head buzzing with the same thoughts. Rethinking her life choices. Max was right. That's what she kept telling to herself. Her eyes were red from crying. Now she had a tired and expressionless face. She was lost. For once again the ghosts of her past started haunting her. All the trauma was coming back to make her suffer.
