Roxanne returns to her lonely apartment. She's welcomed by the cold and silence of her house once she slams the door behind her. The lights are turned off and darkness engulfs her. She tosses the keys on the coffee table and makes her way to her bedroom.
The young woman doesn't even bother to have a shower or change into her pajamas. She turned on the radio and collapsed on her bed. Unfortunately for her the song 'Wicked Games' was on. She turned around to lay on her back and let her fantasy go wild as she listened to the lyrics of the song.
Ieft my girl back home
I don't love her no more
And she'll never fucking know that
These fucking eyes that I'm staring at
She thought about Richard. Could he really have stopped loving her? Could he really be looking in the eyes of someone else?
Let me see that ass
Look at all this cash
And I emptied out my cards too
Now I'm fucking leanin' on that
The form of Lizzy showed up in Roxanne's mind. As soon as she heard those lyrics she couldn't help but agree at how much better the singer's appearance was. Maybe Richard would easily be seduced by any woman like Lizzy.
Bring your love baby, I could bring my shame
Bring the drugs baby, I could bring my pain
I've got my heart right here
I've got my scars right here
"What a shame. Loving someone just to bring you a whole load of pain" thought Roxanne as she listened to the song.
Bring the cups baby, I could bring the drank
Bring your body baby I could bring you fame
That's my motherfucking words too
Just let me motherfucking love you
At this point Roxanne brought a cup and a bottle of whiskey. The certain drink would be a great company to the pain she felt while listening to the song that explained nothing else than the fact that Richard fell for Lizzy.
Listen ma, I'll give you all I've got
Get me off of this
I need confidence in myself
Yes, Richard was nothing else than a man who was just seeking confidence for himself. The girl despised such men.
Listen ma, I'll give you all of me
Give me all of it
I need all of it to myself
She couldn't believe how he was now giving everything he has to another girl. Especially the one she despised most. After all they went through. He had the courage to do the same with the girl she hated.
"He's nothing than a selfish bastard" Roxanne thought again as she took more sips from her cup of whiskey.
So tell me you love me
(Only for tonight, only for the night)
Even though you don't love me
Just tell me you love me
(I'll give you what I need, I'll give you all of me)
Even though you don't love me
So that was it? That's what she was to him? An one night stand? She shouldn't be surprised. Every girl is an one night stand to that man. None of them made it out without falling for him.
Let me see you dance
I love to watch you dance
Take you down another level
Get you dancin' with the devil
As she heard those lyrics Roxanne recalled that day when Lizzy was trying to seduce Richard with her performance.
"He must have loved watching her dancing" she thought to herself for the third time.
Take a shot of this
But I'm warning you
I'm on that shit that you can smell babe
So, put down your perfume
What could she say? She was warned indeed. She was warned by Max. She should have listened to him. She shouldn't have let her emotions get to her.
The chorus entered once again and after some moments of just the music of the song playing it ended. Roxanne was wasted on her bed from drinking. She didn't have a choice. For once again she had to move on. Her and Richard were over. That night she decided that it was better leaving him play his wicked games than going back to him. Such relationships were toxic and she knew it. She would never trust anyone again.
A/N: Please listen to this song its amazing!!!!! I love The Weeknd! This chapter took me way too much time and I'm not sure about the lyrics either :')
