bumi was the eldest child of liara and aang, he got Liara's warm brown eyes with flecks of amber scattered through the irises.
during the pregnancy, katara had said that she didn't sense any bending from the baby, which worried aang, but liara quickly shot him down, saying that the important thing was that he was born healthy, and that he will do great things someday.
when bumi was born, aang and Liara named him after their dear friend who had passed away just a few years before.
elara was the second born to aang and Liara, and she had inherited airbending.
both aang and Liara were extatic upon hearing this, but still tried their best to give both of the children equal love and attention. liara especially did so when aang was away on avatar duties.
elara looked just like her mother, although just being different in eye colour.
tenzin was the youngest child of the three, being the only son whom had inherited airbending from his parents. aang doted extra on him, earning recular scoldings from his wife.
she didn't want their children to have an emotionally absent father.
despite Liara's threats and warnings, aang still took tenzin on regular field trips even when he was off duty from being the avatar. so, in turn, liara had taken elara and bumi on field trips as well, to different places to experience different things.
it tore the siblings away from each other emotionally, so whenever aang was away on avatar duties and all three children were at home, liara would have them help her bake fruit tarts for the acolytes and her friends.
although aang doted more on tenzin, he still gave elara and bumi a lot of love, even if it wasn't enough. he would play with all three his children when they held beach parties as a family and he would snuggle up with them every Christmas eve to read them old airbender bedtime stories.
he truly loved his family, and if it weren't for his untimely death, he would have spent more time with them.
if only he had more time.
but the universe and it's kindness gave liara the time he wanted.
