Chapter Nine of Legendary
As I pace back and forth through my room, I make up my mind.
I'm going to escape.
After countless hours I finally figure it out. I can't just walk through the house and leave, I'll need a better way. If only I could fly. I walk over to the window and open it up. I pull out the screen and poke my head out. Instantly, I feel the nighttime breeze on my warm skin. I look to the sides. There's nothing I can use so I look down.
There's a deck three meters below me. I smile and then back away from the window. I grab my little purse and gather all my things that I took out. I put it around my neck and go back to the window. I step on the ledge and crouch in the window. I look down and close my eyes.
Knock knock knock.
Shit.
"Scarlett, I know you're in there. Can you open the door so we can talk?" Caden says. I let out a quiet sigh. I turn to the door, and then back to the window. "Fuck it." I whisper and jump out the window. I land on the deck and recover at light speed. I jump over the railing and burst through the backyard.
The territory's boundaries are protected with five meter tall walls and security cameras. On each side there's a door to exit. I turn into my wolf as I race between trees, scaring away small rodents. I'm so fast I'm silent.
As the wall comes into view, a smirk makes its way onto my face. I look around. There are no guards in the area. There is a camera though. I smile at it as I throw myself at the wall and use my wolfy muscles to pull up over it. I stand on top of the wall. I look down on the other side. I jump and swiftly hit the ground.
Suddenly, I feel an odd feeling, as if the air changes. As I was told by Caden, while in another territory the pack link doesn't work. I try now.
Darren?
Scarlett? Om my god Scarlett! How'd you escape their territory?
I used my powers. I miss you, what direction is the pack house?
Follow the setting sun.
I look around. Thankfully for me, I was heading in the right direction. I smile and burst into a sprint. Well, with being a vampire and a white wolf, it's more the speed of light than anything. I continue running.
Do I keep following the sun or do I have to go in a different direction?
No. Just follow the sun.
I run for a longer amount of time. Suddenly, the air changes and a smell hits my nostrils.
Fresh rain.
"Who goes there?!" I loud voice booms. I quickly stop to a halt, almost falling backwards. I shift and quickly put on my clothes. "Hello?" I call out. "Where are you? Show yourself!" The voice says again. "I'm looking for you, trust me." I inform them. I walk through the thick trees to be met with five men. "Oh, it's you. You may pass Miss Evans." The guard says and smiles. "Thank you." I say and smile. I start to walk and then stop. "By the way, what is your name?" I ask the kind man. "Danny Phan." He responds. I nod and continue walking. Eventually, the HOI comes into view.

Werewolf"So Scarlett, you have no clue why you are here?" Darren says and I shake my head. "Well, you're in for a surprise." He says and grins. It's not an evil grin, but he's trying to tell me I'll be shocked. I nod again. Luke walks over and stands besid...
