Chapter Ten of Legendary

"Collect Fighters. She has escaped." I inform the guards. She'll put up a fight, I know it. I also know where she would've gone. The Storm Pack. I shift into my humongous wolf. The troops assemble as wolves, armed with silver. Silver prevents a werewolves' wounds from healing. It would work on Scarlett to slow her down. Problem is, she's faster than the speed of light. It'll be impossible to catch her.

With my advanced Alpha senses, we follow her scent through the territory, towards the western wall. I break into a sprint to catch her faster. The wall quickly comes into view and I see no way she would've got around it. She jumped a five meter wall.

I slow to a trot and lead the troops the the wall. There's a rock in the wall somewhere that opens a door. I shift to human and run my hand over the smooth stone. I find the loose stone and pull, instantly revealing a passageway.

The warriors filter through the hole and I put the rock back into place, closing the opening. I shift to my wolf and stand on my hind legs. My front paws touch the top of the wall and my snout is just above. I spring off in the back and pull up in the front, throwing myself over. I land and walk in front of my waiting army.

We follow her scent as the sun disappears into the ground, revealing the bright moon. I'm not surprised she ran away. We are the pack, the one that gives no mercy. We kill in cold blood, nobody dares to face us. If we want something we get it, no matter how much of a fight someone puts up. We won't stop till the world belongs to us, even if that means murdering everything. Even family.

•Scarlett Evan's POV•

(Four Days Later)

It's been four days. Four wonderful days. I've had the most fun of my life being alone, well, not totally anymore. I came across a small pack of rouges, five of them. They treat me like family.

There's Dylan, the softie. His nickname we gave him is Teddy. He's got a harsh appearance, probably because he lives in the forest his whole life. His mom died when he was born and his dad was being hunted.

His dad was able to protect him in the forest till he was about thirteen, but then he was on his own. He's sixteen, and he still acts like a little boy. His blonde hair and blue eyes would make anybody fall for him. Well, Miranda did.

Miranda had a twin sister named Mariah who was killed by her own father. That's why she ran away. Her mother was killed by her father too and she didn't want to be next. She is fifteen. She follows Dylan like a lost puppy dog. Her nickname is Bow, due to her perfect skill in archery.

Next there's Charlie, the protector of us. He's nineteen, and his pack was wiped out by another when he was ten. He and his six year old sister were kidnapped by the pack and beaten. Charlie would take the beatings for her. But one day, he wasn't there to protect her so they beat her to death. He doesn't have a nickname.

Charlie told me the other two people in their little group went to visit an abandoned pack territory to see if we could move in. Charlie said they left two days ago, the same day I arrived. They haven't heard from them since then.

We've been eating fresh fish and deer as our main meats, and for veggies we have been eating random herbs that we've spotted the deer eating.
