Chapter Two of Legendary

In school not a lot of interesting things happened. Nobody tried to talk to me and I didn't try to talk to anybody.

Some people gave me odd looks. Ones that spoke 'Why are you here?'. As soon as the bell rang I got out of the school to were Luke said to meet him.

He was there. I walk beside the car and he doesn't notice me. I tap on the glass and he jumps in his seat. I chuckle as he unlocks the car.

"You frightened me there." He says faking fright by holding his hand over his heart. I chuckle again and we drive off.

"So where exactly are you taking me?" I question. "To Alpha Darren's territory. It's quite a ways away from here. A solid half an hour." Luke calmly says.

"I'm not even going to ask questions about your words." I say and he nods. "Good. Alpha will explain it to you." I have no clue what any of this means.

What if this was all a trap and he's trying to kidnap me? I laugh out loud at my crazy thoughts. "What's so funny?" Luke questions. "Oh nothing." I reply. I turn my head and look out the window.

"Tell me." He demands, making me sigh. "I was thinking about how you may have been lying this hole time and have just been trying to kidnap me." I say and he bursts out laughing. I join him and that's all I hear. Joy and laughter.

It eventually dies down and he wipes a tear from his eye. "Ah... I'm sure Darren will love you." He says. I smile and the rest of the ride is in a comfortable silence.

I keep my eyes on the road as we drive around. We slow down and Luke pulls in to a huge driveway. I look up and see a giant mansion surrounded by a forest.

"You never told me you were filthy rich!" I exclaim and throw up my arms. He shrugs and stops at the top of the driveway.

We get out of the car and walk to the front door. I watch him as he opens the front door. We step in and there's a man pacing back and forth.

"Alpha Darren, here's the lovely lady I was talking about." He says and I walk out from behind him shyly. I blush as I see his face.

He's attractive, I bet every girl falls at his feet. He's got soft blue eyes, the colour of water. His jet black hair makes his eyes pop out, just like mine.

"Scarlett?" Luke says waving his hand in front of my face. "Sorry." I say blushing. He nods. "So Scarlett, you have no clue why you are here?" Darren says and I shake my head.

"Well, you're in for a surprise." He says and grins. It's not an evil grin, but he's trying to tell me I'll be shocked. I nod again.

Luke walks over and stands beside Darren. "We're not normal." Luke starts. "And neither are you." Darren says. I give them a questioning look.

"We are supernatural beings. Werewolves to be exact." I try to look serious but end up bursting with laughter.

"I told you you'd love her." I hear Luke whisper. My laughing died down and I look serious again. "I heard that Luke." I say.

"Anyway, you're just to funny with this werewolf shit. It's a good joke." I sat and wipe away a laughing tear.

"We aren't joking." Darren says sternly. I stiffen. "Prove it." I say, challenging them. Next thing I know, there are two big black wolves in front of me.

I gasp for air. Darren is about a meter and a half tall whereas Luke looked to be a good meter and fifteen centimeters. Their coats were pitch black.

"Am I hallucinating?" I say quietly before my limp body falls to the ground. And just like that, I black out. "Shit." I hear someone say.

"If she's dead, I swear I'll kill you." A voice that sounds like Luke's says. I hear a door close. "Luke?" I choke out, my eyes still black.

"Scarlett? Are you awake?" He asks. I feel him place his hand on my forearm. "I-I think so." I stutter. My eyes finally rip open slowly.

"Where am I? How long have I been out for?" I ask rubbing my face with my hands. "You're in the guest bedroom. You've been gone for an hour." He says.

"Do you feel okay? What's the last thing you remember?" He questions and I get up off the bed and stretch.

"I feel fine. The last thing I remember was you telling me you were werewolves. Oh... Wait." I say and then I feel my eyes widen. I scream at the top of my lungs.

I'm suddenly stopped by a body rapped around mine. "Shh. Please." Luke begs. I can feel the emotion. "Why did you bring me here? Are you telling me I'm one too?" I ask and he stays quiet.

He lets go of me and looks at me. "Lets go downstairs. It'll be easier when Darren helps explain." He says. He grabs my wrist and pulls me down the stairs.

Darren is sitting on the couch rocking himself back and forth. His eyes catch mine and he sighs in relief. "Thank god you're okay." He says.

I nod and they sit on a couch across from me. "Well, like we've told you, we're werewolves. But one part to this doesn't add up. When I first saw you, I sensed that you were a werewolf. But you're sitting here like you don't have a clue what we're saying. At least both or one of your parents were a werewolf." He says and I look away.

"They're dead. They were murdered right in front of me when I was twelve." I say biting my lip, looking back at Darren.

"Oh. That explains it." He says and I relax. "I guess I'll fill you in then." He says and takes a deep breath.

"We are werewolves and so are you. I'm sure you know about wolves and stuff right? Like Alphas Betas and Lunas?" He says and I nod.

"So I won't have to explain that part. Well, what don't you know really? We are werewolves, we have a leader aka the Alpha, the Beta aka the sidekick, the Luna, aka the Alpha's girlfriend and then the rest of the members of the pack. I can't really explain how you know who your mate is because I haven't found mine and neither has Luke." Darren informs me.
