Her fist rapidly unfurled only for it to reform tighter. "Who did you go out with Y/N? It better not have b—."

"Wanda, Darcy and Valkyrie," you cut her off and saw the way her eyes swirled with betrayal, fear and anger.

"Darcy?" You nodded, though you knew it wasn't a question posed to you for answering. Natasha was in disbelief that you'd seen the one person she never wanted around you. "You are a terrible girlfriend!"

You laughed wryly, "Oh look, it's the pot everybody!"

"What's that supposed to mean Y/N?" Natasha took a step closer but you turned around and silently crept up the stairs on your way to your room, or so Natasha thought until you slammed the guest door in her face.

The knob shook but it didn't budge as you'd locked it. "I swear to god Y/N, I'll break the door of the hinges."

You rolled your eyes then twisted the lock, your once favorite person entered the room in a fit of rage, her body launched atop of your freshly changed body so that you couldn't run away anymore. "Answer me."

"It's simple really, you broke our rules first Natasha."

"Y/N," Natasha's tone was a mix of timid frustration, "You need to stop speaking around the subject."

"Missions don't include dinner with Maria Hill."

"Maria is the commander," she defended weakly.

"Of Shield," you bit back harshly, "not your meals."

"She is also my friend Y/N, you can't just—."

"Darcy's my friend," you cut her excuse off fast. "I love you Natasha, I do, but this relationship isn't working."

Natasha nearly died at the thought, her heart stopped, there wasn't a reality where she'd give your love up.

"I will quit," Natasha declared instantly, her job is what kept her away from your side, it's an easy fix, right?

You sighed, "I don't think that's gonna be enough."

"Don't say that," she actually whimpered, "please..."

"This isn't the life for you Natasha," your hands gently pried her head from your neck and forced her to hover. A weak smile on your face, "you're a free spirit, it's ok."

For the first time in months she'd been forced to see you up close, her breath hitched in her throat just like it always did, but this time it halted the sob that would pair with her broken face, realization dawned quick.

"You're dying." It was a whisper of the truth, her hand resting on your frame suddenly felt the weight of the change in your body; the sunken sockets of your eyes.

"It's best for you to go," you tried to spare her but she didn't budge except for to push more into your frame. "I'm not going anywhere krolick, never again; I swear."

Your blood ran even colder at the insinuation, tired eyes shooting open. "Nat." Her lips pressed to yours, a promise whispered against them before you could rebut, "it's 'til death should we part, I meant together."
