What is happiness?
The naive say,
love is happiness
Where lonely nights are spent with lovers and not souls
The realists say,
no such feeling exists
For reality has blinded their hearts with truth
For their minds have built expectations no god can fulfil
The dreamers,
They say happiness is in their daydreams
For their minds have given them experiences reality couldn't
Their minds took them to worlds too creative and unrealistic for monotonous heads to analyse
For they were dazed in daydreams and drowning within stars
The lonely,
With the wisest of hearts
Understood happiness
They treated her as an equal
As a past lover who still remains
And as the dreamers exposed their galaxies to others
The lonely saw happiness within the sparkle of the dreamers passionate skies
For the lonely weren't blinded by truth
By fantasy
By fact
The lonely signed a treaty of lonesome and gave happiness a chance to leave.
What is happiness?
Happiness is an opinion
Made by those who've never felt its tangible truth.
