Summer Blues

As the crisp glow of the sun rolls upon the earth

Its shimmering warmth hugging us humans with brutality

The air so damp and embraced had dried up the clouds of winter away

And the unread books and unwritten pages of the holidays awaits in adventures yet to take

And as the golden invigorating glow of summer glistened our lands to wealth

And have given the trees a bigger purpose than just tickling our lungs

It is the shade that protects us from the flaring flames igniting god's nostrils

How summer truly is bliss and woe.

And so it seems that 'sweater weather' has abstracted from our adrenaline-less veins

Some of us, who bare secrets, hide beneath the wool herds dying in favour of diminishing our fearful goosebumps

And those of us to insecure to paint the air with our flesh, hide beneath the offish cloth that eliminates winter's monsters from discrimination

And as the earth ignites,

We mortals have disconnected

From responsibility,

Dept,

Regret,

And bully

For summer truly is our ecstasy and our reddish blues.
