Disappearing Light

Oh how the night intrigues me into such wonder and abyss

And how the stars light the planets which such elegance

And how the skyscrapers glow into the night
With such dominance

Oh how the colours of the night have given birth to poetry and literature

How it gives a poet life and image

Such darkness only found in merely our heads

Blooms into our visions
And soon becomes reality

Oh how the light disappears with such colour
With such speed

And how the days pass by with ease

And oh how the wild comes to life in the night

And how happiness lingers between the shadows

Oh how I hide in these shadows
Looking for new ideas to play with and run through my mind

Looking for colours that might creep upon my journeys

To guide me to the heavens
To guide me to eternity

Oh how the night holds my nightmares
And oh how the morning holds my fears

The night air blows through my tangled hair
Carrying so much despair

Oh how my life has never been more alive than at night

The zealous movements my masks wait for

For the night holds no reality
And my mind holds no realty

My soul is Lost within the darkness of my dilated eyes

Looking for consolation in the dark

A non-existent comfort that can't be found in even the warmest and darkest oceans.
