Oh how it seems like yesterday,
Was a day where lands were discovered
Where laws were set
Where kings ruled
Oh how it seems like yesterday,
I was born into this world
And onto this prosperous land of opportunities
I found myself living and aging,
And this land grew old with me
For trees were set
And knowledge was given
And yes,
Our lands were dry
But when the rain came
It watered our minds with wisdom
And these lands,
So cracked and crisp
Soaked my tears
And hid my fears
And the sun,
Oh how it shines on smiling faces
And how long it lasts in our skies
Keeping crime away
And leaving time still
Oh and how our tongues
bounce the words of our flag with pride
And how our citizens are eager
to see this land give birth to skyscrapers
and people of all kinds
And the stars,
Where hard to find
But they never failed to watch over us
And give us life
For this land has lived
to see it’s people changing
and will carry on giving birth to leaders.
