Tickled Lungs

Happiness never lasts
Yet depression is a scar
That covers my heart

That few seconds of hormones
Playing with my heart strings

Strumming gently against the harp
Trapped between two lungs

Lungs tickled by the melody of
Traumas
And minds dancing with the
Thought of drowning euphonies

That drag my blood down with it
And that drags my problems too

That give my eyes a blurry vision of reality
Instead making me fantasise about death and life

And the memories of tomorrow
Feed on my brain

And the imaginary numbers of our youth control our love

And his heart can't be filled like his mind
And my heart can't be fixed like our love

Our talents sending us to different highs
And our tears sending us to different lows

Separated by the raging sees
And roaring trees

We come from different lands
Lands that swim across the ocean

With the sunset shining through the horizon
And boiling the soles of the ocean as it rises

As it rises and sends its energy
To feed those empty minds with fancy
To feed them with dreams faded by the light

And the absurdity of his memory
Never recalled anything but her rubies and diamonds

That shone upon her skin
And reflected the stars

She was a visitor of his dreams
And she was faded by reality

His skin has never touched such delicate petals

Petals that burn his thoughts and caressed his brain

And his mind burned and burned behind the trails of the sun

And he gave up his lungs for the survival of the young

Yet he never gave up his heart for the survival of his love.
