Rin's POV
I looked into (y/n)'s (e/c) eyes, seeing them full of fear and confusion.
"Why do you want to know about my dream?"
"I'll tell you after you tell me."
"Rin-"
"(Y/n). Please."
She hesitated, then sighed.
"Okay. I was in a hallway, blood everywhere. I was told to follow the blood, so I did. I found both Aero and Vale torn to shreds, then I came to another room and found you chained on a wall."
That perked my interest.
"You were alive, and I was tackled by the one who tried to kill us. You screamed for him to stop before she could actually hurt me. She threw her knife at you, and you used your blue flames to disintegrate it. Same with your chains. Then you told me it was a dream. You were right... Hey, is something wrong?"
"Did you scream in your sleep?"
"That's what Aero told me."
"That explains why I didn't wake up."
"What? Rin! Please tell me what you're talking about!"
I solemnly looked at her.
"(Y/n), I had that same dream through my eyes.""Wh-what?!"
"I know I did."
"Prove it!"
"How?"
"What did I do to try to wake myself up?"
"Too easy. First you pinched your hand, then you bit it until it bled."
She looked at me with an awestruck look.
"We had the same dream? That's weird."
"Weird is an understatement."
We sat in silence for a few minutes.
"What do you think we should do about Aero and Vale?" (y/n) asked me quietly.
"I'm not sure yet."
More silence.
"It's too quiet." she complained.
"Yeah, I know."
I sat down on the bed, and she immediately rested her head on my shoulder.
I stared at the door, waiting for someone to walk in. It happens too often. I'll turn away to look at her, and someone will walk in.
I wanted to get up and lock it, but (y/n) was really warm compared to the chilly air in this room.So I didn't.
I started stroking her hair carefully.
It's soft and silky... I thought as I ran my fingers through each lock of her (h/c) hair.
"Rin?"
"Yeah?"
"Completely random question,"
she started, laying her head on my lap, "What's your favorite thing in the world? I bet it's sukiyaki.""No. Keep guessing."
"Kurikara?"
"No."
"Kuro?"
I looked up to see Kuro's eyes grow wide with hope.
"He's one of my favorite things, but not my absolute favorite."
After many incorrect answers, meaning almost 25 (I kept track), she gave up.
"Tell me, Rin."
"It's a pretty obvious answer," I felt my face heat up slightly, knowing that what I was gonna say was a cheesy answer, "I'm looking at her."
I looked into her eyes, and I saw a faint crimson color tint her cheeks.
"Me?" she whispered, barely audible.
I nodded slightly.
"That's sweet, Rin. Really sweet."
Kuro let out a mewl of envy.
Rin! That wasn't nice! What about me?! I know that you really love (y/n) and you talk about her almost all the time, but really?!
"Really, Rin?"
I looked back at her beautiful (e/c) eyes.
"What?"
"You talk about me all the time?"
"What? No... I-I... Hey... Hold the phone... You heard Kuro?!"
"That was Kuro?"
"Yeah!"
Kuro looked at her.
You can actually hear me?
"Yes!"
Rin! She really can hear me!
(Y/n) grinned.
"Kuro. I'll make you silver vine sake if you leave us alone for a little bit. Go watch Aero and Vale."
YAY! Sure thing, (y/n)!
I got up to open the door for Kuro, then shut it fairly quickly.
"That was strange." (y/n) thought aloud.
"Again, that's an understatement."
"Yeah, yeah."
I made myself comfortable on the bed, and suddenly, (y/n) is half-sitting, half-laying on me.
I inclined slightly.
(Y/n) closed her eyes.
"Rin?"
"Hmm?"
"How could you love someone like me? A loser?"
I glared at her.
"You're not a loser. That's me, okay? I don't know how to describe you. You have lots of good traits, and some bad traits. Even with the bad traits, it only makes me love you more."
"Rin..."
