11. Stopping the Fight

I went back to the classroom to find out that class had ended. I gathered my stuff, wondering where Rin was.

Jeez, Mephisto is such an idiot.

But... I started wondering about it, If I was given the chance, would I marry him?

I blushed just at the thought of it.

What if Rin and I did actually get married? I shook my head.

"Focus, (y/n)!" I told myself, "You've still got about two years until you're an adult!"

I heard yelling outside, and it sounded like Bon. He must be yelling at Shima or Rin-

Rin!

"Mind your own business, Okumura!"

"Don't tell me what to do, big shot!"

Oh crap.

I dashed toward where the yelling was coming from.

There, right outside, I found Bon and Rin arguing.

It looked like they could start getting physical at any moment now. I ran to the front of the crowd.

"Rin! Bon! Stop!"

"Not until this idiot apologizes for making fun of my bad grade and bragging about his 'great' one!"

"Shut up, you dumb idiot! I wasn't bragging! I was proving that I was smarter than you!"

"Please stop!"

Then Rin reared back like he was about to punch Bon in the face.

Almost instantly, I moved forward.

Let's just say it hurt like hell.

"(Y/n)?!" everyone went silent.

My vision was red. I held my cheek as I confronted Rin.

"Please. Stop fighting."

"Why did you-"

"Because you wouldn't listen to me." I looked at Bon, "Was it really necessary to prove that you're smarter than Rin? Everyone already knew that."

Rin stared at me.

"That's cold, (y/n). So cold."

"Yeah, but it's true, and you know it." he hung his head in shame.

"Yep."

My cheek really hurt at the moment, but I didn't care.

"Come on, you two!" I exclaimed, pulling them away from the silent crowd.

"Where are we going?"

"To the park."

As soon as we got there, I looked at both of them. Then I did something that I didn't know I could do.

I slapped them both.

They looked at me in surprise.

"Fight again, and you'll both be on the ground."

They nodded hastily.

"Yes, ma'am!"

I sighed.

"No need to be so formal, you guys. Come on, you two are my best friends." I said cheerfully, pulling the both into a hug.

"(Y/n)..." Rin muttered. My (e/c) eyes looked into his blue ones. I released them both.

"Are you two dating or something?" Bon asked politely.

I stared at Rin.

"You didn't tell him? Who did you tell?"

"Just Yukio..."

I gawked at him.

"You-"

"Wait! You didn't tell him either! Who did you tell?!"

"I told Izumo... I thought you would be obnoxious enough to tell everyone else!"

"Same with me!"

I snuck a glimpse at Bon, who was laughing like a madman.

"You guys fight like a married couple!"

That's the second time today someone's mentioned that.

"WERE YOU IN MEPHISTO'S OFFICE OR SOMETHING?!"

"Huh?"

I glared at Bon.

"No...? Why are you asking?"

I kept glaring, keeping eye contact, but I could feel the blush intensifying on my face.

"Pheles is... An idiot..." I muttered under my breath.

I looked at Rin, who was looking at me curiously.

"What do you mean by that?"

Wait, did I actually forget that Rin was here?! Proves how much of an idiot I am! I mentally facepalmed.

"I-I... Uh... It's... Um..." I stuttered, not knowing what to say.

"Did Mephisto say something stupid?"

"Obviously!"

I looked Rin in the eye.

Is he really Mephisto's brother? Does that mean that Mephisto is also the son of Satan? Hey, that means if I ever want to take revenge for my family, I can kill him or Amaimon!

I thought these evil thoughts while Rin tapped my shoulder.

"(Y/n)? Are you alright? You're spacing out again!"

"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine."

"You guys look good together." Bon remarked, and my glare turned to a beam in his direction.

"Thanks, Bon."

"I gotta go. Go and make out or something."

"SUGURO! YOU IDIOT!" I yelled as he ran off.

I kept glaring in his direction until Rin spoke up.

"Am I allowed to ask what Mephisto said?" he asked, curiosity brimming in his voice.

"I'd prefer you not to."

"So I can. What did he say?"

I knew I was blushing scarlet by now.

"He... Uh..." I mentally slapped myself for being so nervous, "He made a stupid request."

"What request?"

"Well... Does it matter?"

"Please?" he gave me puppy dog eyes.

"Don't look at me like that! Ok, fine!" I looked down in embarrassment, "He wanted me to marry you." I muttered quietly.

Rin was too silent for comfort.

"God, that would be awesome." he whispered.

Lucky for him, I didn't hear him.

"What? Did you say something?"

He went slightly red.

"N-no! Maybe! I-I don't know!"

"Huh?" he's so weird.

But that's the Rin I know and love.

This chapter is something I couldn't resist writing!
Oh, sorry for making Rin hit (y/n). Unless you wanted (y/n) to beat the heck out of him and Bon.
I'll have her do that later.
Anyway, no one's told me whether they want Ed or Kirito except one person! I've been working on them and this one like crazy!
