While Alex has his hands full with Legacy with some back up from Drew; the women's side of things sees the rise of young newcomer Cora Jade. At only 21 years of age, she is making a name for herself after defeating her former idol Natalya a few weeks back, now she is targeting her first championship as she eyes current WWE Women's Champion Asuka; however, standing in her way is Legacy's 15 time women's champion Charlotte Flair.
Cora was in an interview segment with Kayla Braxton.
Kayla: ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time... SmackDown's newest Superstar, Cora Jade
Cora walked in a smile on her face.
Kayla: now Cora, you've been on SmackDown for almost a month, and you've been turning heads and capturing a lot of people's attentions lately, what's going through your mind?
Cora: as you said Kayla, I do have everyone's attention now. I'm here to prove that I am the best; I just wish my wrestling sisters were here with me because we can rule the entire division, but they're kicking ass and making names, so Rox, Thea, Tiffy... I hope to see you girls here with me. And as for Charlotte Flair... she wants to make her own legacy by... taking other opportunities away just to benefit her career to be like her dad
Then Charlotte came in to frame.
Charlotte: wow... big words from a little girl. Don't think you can just waltz here and ask for title shots. I captured my first title while you were just in middle school
Cora: oh real cute, you did just because you're a Flair
Charlotte: I'm not following in my dad's footsteps, I'm here to carve my own legacy, so siding with people like Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes will benefit me and my career
Cora: well, we'll see about that Queen. Since your dad is your hero, I describe my hero as the ass kicker who takes no crap from anyone
Cora then fired a shot by slapping Charlotte across the face before walking out of frame, leaving a stunned Queen.
SmackDown's segments for this week features Cora in action as she goes against Zoey Stark and for the first time since WrestleMania, Miz TV goes live as the special guest is WWE Champion Alex Auditore. The two men had kept their distance since their Hell in a Cell match.
In the ring, Miz along with his proteges Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were in the ring with Miz TV about to start.
Miz: welcome to the most must see talk show in all of WWE! Welcome to... Miz TV!
The crowd booed while the Arrogant Aussie and A-Town clapped for their "director."
Miz: now for this special episode of Miz TV, my guest is-
The A-Lister was interrupted by Alex's theme, much to the chagrin of the A-Lister. The crowd cheered as the current WWE Champion walked down the ramp and got in the ring with a smirk on his face as he raised his title and rubbed it in Miz's face while the A-Lister was irritated. Alex smirked and took a seat as he grabbed a mic.
Alex: well well well, if it isn't the FORMER champion himself whose ass I kicked inside a cell
Miz: you don't interrupt me! Wait for me to introduce-
Alex: oh shut up Mizanin. I come out whenever I want to come out, so I can waste my precious time sitting here on this show, so ask me your stupid questions
Miz: okay... how does it feel that the man you trusted stab you in the back like that? You must feel so hurt, don't you?
Alex: I always had a strong feeling Randy Orton will do that, but knowing him, he won't stop at nothing to get this that is around my shoulder. Speaking of titles, Austin is U.S. Champion, but Miz... where's your title, man?
Miz was a bit offended by the remark as he responded back.
Miz: I will be champion soon, it doesn't matter what title it is, I will make sure it's prestigious
Alex: we'll see about that. It was satisfying when Gunther kicked your ass and chopped the living shit out of you
The champion chuckled while Miz was getting angry.
Alex: and by the way... Gunther, myself, hell even Dominik and Austin had bigger sets of balls than you ever have
The crowd then chanted "tiny balls" much the irritation of the A-Lister.
Miz: my balls are massive!
Alex: well okay, let's have a visual comparison here
The Pharaoh grabbed something from his front pocket grabbed a pair of marbles.
Alex: these are the only balls Miz ever has
Then the WWE Champion pulled out a pair of tennis balls.
Alex: and these are my balls, which I know how to use with skill
Alex threw his mic down and threw the tennis balls at Theory and Waller and took down Miz with grounded punches. Waller and Theory tried to help out, but they were thrown out by the WWE Champion. Then he grabbed Miz, got him up on his shoulder and dropped the tiny balls A-Lister with a One-Winged Angel.
Waller tried to ambush the WWE Champion with the rolling stunner, but he was caught by an AKO from Alex. The champion then cleared the ring of the Miz TV set before raising his title to end the segment.
(Time skip)
It was the main event for the week as Cora has a big test in her young career as she goes one on one against Legacy's 14 time women's champion Charlotte Flair.
(Cora Jade vs. Charlotte Flair)
From the opening bell, Cora unleashed flurries of punches, putting Charlotte on the defensive as she covered up to block the shots while she backed up to the corner, forcing the referee to separate the two.
Cora went for an offense, but Charlotte got her up as Cora hung on to the ropes and landed on the ring apron; she then fazed Flair with a forearm before climbing to the top turnbuckle for a crossbody, but was caught by the Queen as she takes Cora down with a fallaway slam. Cora got back up and held herself against the turnbuckles; she then sidestepped and avoided an incoming boot from Flair and connects kicks to the back of her legs to ground the tall Flair. The young Superstar targeted Charlotte's legs by locking a Boston Crab submission. However, Charlotte's height gave the Queen advantage as she crawled to the ropes and grabbed the bottom one to force a break.
Cora then dragged the Queen's body and placed her in the right spot as she climbed to the top turnbuckle and flattened Charlotte with a diving senton, but only good enough for a two count.
(Fast forward)
Cora attempted to finish off Charlotte with the double underhook DDT, but the Queen countered with a double leg takedown and looks to lock in the Figure 8, but Cora kicked her off, making Charlotte go in between the ropes. As Cora looks for an offense while the referee held her back, the Queen was suddenly hit by WWE Women's Champion Asuka using the title while the referee was distracted.
Cora took advantage and rolled up Charlotte in a bridge pin for the upset victory, much to the shock and awe of both women as the young upstart pinned a 15 time women's champion.
Cora then saw Asuka on the ring apron as the Empress taunted the young star by raising her title. Cora courageously stepped up to the champion and glanced at the title.
Asuka smirked and nodded as she is already seeing another worthy contender for her title. Then Charlotte looks to ambush Cora, but then Asuka pushed Cora to the side and spit the mist into the Queen's face, blinding the former champion as the mist stings her eyes.
Cora was felt a bit of anxiety as she sees Charlotte trying to wipe off the mist while the referees helped her. The show ended with Cora and Asuka staring each other down, signaling a potential triple threat match for the WWE Women's Championship.
However for next week, NXT is advertising the appearances of Alex and Randy, but didn't give details on the reason, hyping the crowd up to tune in.
