Twenty-four hours from now is the WWE's Biggest Party of the Summer as the cinematic style storylines were keeping the crowd hooked. Tonight's main event reignites a rivalry from 2020 as the Scotsman Drew McIntyre battles the sadistic and venomous Randy Orton. With both the Bloodline and Legacy lurking at ringside, Drew has to be on the look out all around his flanks, while the benevolent Aswang is also lurking around in the dark areas of the arena.

In the locker room, McIntyre knew he'll be walking into the trenches on his own as his ally Cora has her hands full with Charlotte and Damage CTRL while she thinks about her championship aspirations while her House of Bliss sisters back her up.

The show opened with the Scotsman making his entrance to cut a promo regarding the main event.

Drew: tonight, I will renew my rivalry with the Viper himself. I beat him for the WWE title before, so take tonight as a message to Roman Reigns and his family, in which I call the Nightmare before SummerSlam. Speaking of nightmares... Cody Rhodes, I just added a nightmare to your stupid story and when I win the Universal Championship, I dare you to step up and call your shot for your dream of becoming world champion, in which I will ruin

With those bold words, the Scottish Warrior did not show any intimidation of both the Bloodline and the Legacy, knowing he is prepared for what is in store for him. As Drew exited the ring, the cameras shifted to the rafters high above the ring showing the benevolent masked Aswang Alex Auditore, watching from above like a silent guardian.

(Backstage)

House of Bliss member Roxanne Perez was warming up for her match against Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai with members from both factions banned from ringside during the match. As she was about to be interviewed, the Prodigy heard a commotion coming from outside the locker room, she went to the source and saw the House of Bliss and Damage CTRL brawling by the production crates; Roxanne joined the fray as she grabbed a kendo stick and fought off Damage CTRL, making them get away while the Prodigy helps her sisters up.

Thea: let me at 'em!

The young ball of energy Thea wanted another fight, but Tiffany and Cora held her back to avoid anymore chaos.

Roxanne: Thea, easy now. I have a match against Dakota tonight; Cora, think about the WWE Women's Championship; Tiff and Thea; take this as an equalizer in case. Now I know that all of you and them are banned at ringside, but knowing Damage CTRL, they'll break the rules

The Prodigy gave both Tiffany and Thea a kendo stick each for both offense and defense.

Cora: Rox is right girls; we have our own battles to fight; Roxy, go ahead and continue to warm up, we'll take care of business

With the House of Bliss' individual goals in mind, the group went to do their business. Then the camera cut to a little backstage promo from the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes as he responds to Drew's statement from earlier.

Cody: now Drew, I heard all the stuff you said earlier tonight; that when you win the Universal Championship, I can step up for a title shot, how very bold of you. You see Drew, you and I are alike, we both failed to capture that same title from the same man, we both left the WWE to master our craft that benefited our careers just to come back later better than ever. So Drew, I want you to win the title, I want you to beat Roman Reigns, so I can step up and finish my story

The show shifted back to the ring as both Roxanne and Dakota made their entrances.

(Roxanne Perez vs. Dakota Kai)

The former NXT alumni locked up for the first time on the main roster ring. The Prodigy had the height disadvantage, but she used it for her speed to create offense to keep Dakota on her toes. Roxanne got the edge early as she sent Kai rolling out of the ring with a headscissor takedown.

(Time skip)

Dakota had Roxanne in an ab stretch hold after getting the upper hand during the commercial break. She Irish whipped the Prodigy to the corner and landed a modified version of Sami Zayn's Helluva Kick, but only good for a two count.

(Time skip to the finish)

Dakota attempted for a Go to Kick, but Roxanne managed to got out of it and fazed her with a forearm, but as she attempted for Pop Rox, a masked figure came out from under the ring and ambushed the Prodigy with a shot by a kendo stick while the referee checked on Dakota. Kai took advantage and rolled up Rox in a small package pin to gain the cheap victory.

The masked figure joined Dakota and revealed herself to be none other than Damage CTRL's Iyo Sky. The two members taunted Roxanne as they bragged of Kota's cheap victory.

(Time skip)

The Scotsman Drew McIntyre made his entrance and was waiting for the WWE Champion to make his entrance. The Viper's theme played, but Orton was not in his ring attire.

Randy: now Drew, I can see that you're ready to compete and kick my ass, but I made a little negotiation with Nick Aldis. I want to save my energy for SummerSlam tomorrow, so I was given the night off. Your opponent however will be Cody Rhodes

The American Nightmare's theme played and Rhodes dashed to the ring to meet McIntyre and the bell rang as the two men traded punches. Rhodes fazed McIntyre with the modified version of his brother Goldust's uppercut; McIntyre fired back with the Glasgow Kiss headbutt before clotheslining Cody over the ropes. Drew got the early advantage after slamming Rhodes on the steel steps by doing the reverse Alabama slam, making Cody land face first.

(Time skip to the finish)

Rhodes flattened Drew with the Cody Cutter, but it was only good enough for a 2 1/2 count as the Scotsman got his shoulder up just in the nick of time. Drew stumbled to his feet while behind him, Cody was setting up for the Cross Rhodes, but as the American Nightmare got McIntyre in position, the Scotsman got out of the hold and push Cody to the ropes to land a vicious Claymore, but as he went for the pin, Universal Champion Roman Reigns laid out his challenger with a Superman punch, ending the match in a disqualification in favor of the Scotsman.

The Tribal Chief set up for the spear, but McIntyre side stepped and laid out Jimmy Uso with a Claymore. The numbers game turned in favor of the Legacy and Bloodline as Solo Sikoa and then Randy Orton targeted the defying McIntyre. Then help came as Jey Uso and LA Knight neutralized the numbers by brawling with Jimmy and Solo into the crowd.

Back in the ring, Orton and Rhodes were holding up McIntyre for Roman to hit the spear, but then Alex's theme played and the three men turned their attention to the stage, but no sign of the benevolent creature of the night; however right behind them, the benevolent "Aswang" Alex Auditore descended from the rafters in a homage to the Icon Sting.

Rhodes, Orton and Reigns felt the realization as the Aswang fought off the three men; the Viper managed to escaped, leaving Rhodes in the proverbial lion's den as Alex fazed Cody with the V-Trigger knee strike. As Alex turned around, Reigns connected with the Superman punch, but the impact didn't register as it didn't faze the Aswang. The Universal Champion was in disbelief, but went to connect with another Superman punch, but Alex grabbed him by the throat, in position for a chokeslam, but then turned McIntyre ready in the corner. The Aswang nodded as he held the Universal Champion for the Scotsman while McIntyre executed the Claymore on the Tribal Chief.

Drew and Alex were the only ones left standing in the ring as the Tribal Chief and Legacy were laid out. The final SmackDown before SummerSlam ended with the two staring down at their respective championship opponents for the Biggest Party of the Summer.
