The current landscape of WWE is evolving to the future of young talent as WWE Champion Alex Auditore, Judgment Day's Dominik Mysterio and United States Champion Austin Theory are leading the young talent class to build their reputation and make a legacy within the current era while also getting some lessons taught to them by the veterans such as Rey Mysterio, Edge, Bobby Lashley, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, The Miz and Randy Orton.

Alexa Bliss, Alex's wife is taking time off due to her maternity leave and she got her family and close friends to take care of her while she watches her loving hubby on TV. As for Alex, he was on facetime with his wifey.

Alex: how is Alexandria doing, babe?

Alexa: *giggles* she is doing great, I felt her move as if she was waving at you

Alex: are you aching anywhere?

Alexa: my back, my legs and my feet mostly

Alex: well when I get home, I'll give you a massage

Alexa: oh yes please hubby, I know you're good with your hands in those special places

The Goddess smirked as she winked and teased her husband through the phone, causing Alex to blush a bit.

Alex: yeah so good that we got a bun in the oven

Alexa: you always know how to make me feel good that I forgot I get hurt during my matches

The Goddess giggled.

Alex: that means I'm doing a good job as your husband

Alexa: well when you get home, your hands better be on my body

Alex: that's always my favorite thing to do after work

Alexa: yeah, I'll let you go now, and I'm watching the show

Alex: alright wifey, see you when I get home, I love you

Alexa: I love you too, hubby

The A-Couple blew each other a kiss as the Pharaoh hung up and watched the rest of the show.

Tonight on SmackDown, a one on one match is in store as Randy Orton looks to teach the U.S. Champion Austin Theory a lesson in respect after taking the title from Rey Mysterio in the most disrespectful way when A-Town ripped off the mask of Mysterio and won by a roll up.

As SmackDown went on, Natalya was once again on the losing block as she was defeated by Candice LeRae and the graduate of the Hart Dungeon has to look for a new path to remain relevant as she passed by one of NXT's latest call ups, Cora Jade.

As for Cody Rhodes, he has starting to display a ruthless side of himself, as he is hungry for championship gold and realizes he can't do it alone.

The main event non-title match is about to go underway as U.S. Champion Austin Theory looks to make more on his name as he takes on the Legend Killer himself, Randy Orton. Both men made their entrances and fans were already chanting RKO, wanting to see the iconic finisher on the arrogant young gun Theory.

The legend and the young man locked up in a test of strength with the Viper gaining the advantage as he backed up Theory to the turnbuckle and force to break to avoid disqualification. Orton put his hands up to break, and in vintage Viper fashion landed a chop to slap some respect into Theory. He then whipped Theory to the opposite corner and lands a clothesline; he then followed it up with a diving knee strike to the head, then transitioning to a side headlock.

Theory got up and broke off from the hold; he then went to the apron and rolled through the ropes to land a dropkick, but was only good for a two count. Orton rolled out to catch his breath, but it was only bait as he kicked Theory and lands his signature belly to back suplex on the announcer's table before throwing him back in for only a two count.

The Viper then methodically stalked his prey as he stomped on the hands and feet of Theory. He then picked him up and whipped him to the ropes, only for Austin to fire back with a kick; Theory then got Orton on his shoulders to go for an A-Town Down, but the Viper got out of it and lands his signature backbreaker. He waited for Theory to get up and hits his signature clotheslines followed by the scoop slam.

As Theory rolled out of the ring apron for some breathing room, Orton smirked and grabbed the young gun by the hair and drops the United States Champion with the second rope hanging DDT.

The crowd were on their feet as Orton got in that place and was in slithering mode as he pounds his fists and measures Austin Theory for the RKO. As Theory got up and turned around, the Viper lands the RKO on A-Town, but as he is about to go for the cover, the Viper was ambushed by Theory's allies Grayson Waller and The Miz.

Orton managed to fight back with punches on Miz and Waller, but was soon overwhelmed by the numbers game.

However, help came for the Viper in the form of the WWE Champion as his new official theme played.

Alex ran down and got in the ring to fight off the arrogant trio of Miz, Waller and Theory as he takes out his former nemesis with a spinebuster. He then takes down Theory with a clothesline and fought Waller to the turnbuckles.

Randy got back up and stomped on Waller before picking him up and lands an uppercut on the Arrogant Aussie before tossing out of the ring. Miz got back in and looks to hit a Skull Crushing Finale on the Viper, but Orton got out of the hold and the A-Lister was met with an AKO from the WWE Champion.

The crowd popped and cheered as Alex and Randy were the ones standing tall. The Viper then picked up the WWE title and took a second to gaze upon it before giving it to Alex with a proud smile and nod of approval.

The Pharaoh and Viper got on the turnbuckles to pose for the crowd to send off the crowd, but the arena fell in silent and shock as from out of nowhere, Randy Orton strikes with an RKO on Alex Auditore. Everyone reacted in shock, even Michael Cole and Jim Ross were in shock.

Michael: what the hell?! An RKO from Orton to his lifelong protégé

JR: bah gawd! What the hell did Randy Orton do that for?! Randy, that's like your own son, damn it!

The Viper knelt down and grabbed a hold of the WWE title again before he stood and raised it as the crowd were still in shock and booed Orton.

Orton looked down at the fallen body of Alex as he raised the WWE Championship. He then dropped the title on Alex's chest and got out of the ring as he slowly walked up the ramp as he surveys the damage in the ring.

JR: why Randy Orton? Why'd you do it, you damn snake?!

Back at home, Alexa was watching and she was in total shock and speechless.

Alexa: Randy... why?

The show ended with Orton having the cold look on his face.
