I. Lost Package

BELGIUM: July 2023

Lando could not believe what he was hearing, "You really won't join us Oscar?" he asked the Australian. The younger driver smiled sadly, "Sorry mate, my grandma is waiting for me." He explained.

The Brit huffed and crossed his arms, "But it's Mia's show." He reasoned. Oscar hummed, "I know. Send my congrats to Ate Mia but I really need to get home." He said.
(Translation: Ate means older sister)

The older driver raised an eyebrow at him, "Are you just saying that or are you hiding a girlfriend from me?" he asked. Oscar's eyes widened, "Why would you- never mind. Are you just inviting me to bring back Daniel and Clara together?" he asked the Dutch driver that was standing silently next to the two McLaren drivers.

Max laughed and shook his head, "Aside from that we really just want you to join us Oscar." Lando nodded excitedly, "Yeah! It's like a team building for us." He said.

Oscar knew that the two just wanted for them all to support Mia. Aside from being Lando's best friend, she was really adored by the drivers, she was one of the first girls (aside from Thalie and Angel) that were easily accepted by the others, even Fernando who never really hung out with them. But he really just wanted to go home and rest.

Despite the disappointment the two older drivers felt, they let Oscar go back to Australia but not until the Australian promised to be there for the next show. And he did, he wouldn't pass out on the next one.

Oscar finally arrived at his apartment complex, he had gone to get some groceries as well before getting home. As he arrived on his floor, and near his apartment, he had his hands full.

He was just wanting to get home and rest but he stopped. Staring at the surprise that was in front of his door. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, "Now who the heck would send me a gift?" he asked himself with a laugh.

The driver opened the door and after placing his groceries on the table, he walked back outside. Looking to the left and then to the right, no one was in sight. He sighed and looked back to the package.

He was contemplating whether or not to grab it or leave it outside. But he knew that despite how much security there is in his apartment complex, it was still dangerous that someone may get it.

So, as the good neighbor he was, he grabbed it and brought it inside. As he was walking inside, he read the receiver of the package, "Olivia Flores." He said and hummed. It was a new name, unfamiliar to him.

It may be one of his neighbors that he didn't know about. She may be new to the place, he didn't know. All that he knew was that he would keep hold of it for now.

He sat on the couch and stared at the packaged, how will I know where to return it? He was thinking deeply, he can't just knock on every door and ask if an Olivia Flores lived there.

Oscar sighed and was about to fix his groceries when a knock was heard on his door. Walking to it, he opened to see the sweet neighbor that was Mrs. Luna.

"Oh so the deskman was right! You're back Oscar, how long are you home for?" the woman asked. She was one of the many original tenants of the complex that was very welcoming. And Oscar felt this motherly figure with her.

"Just for a week or two Mrs. Luna." He answered with a smile. "That's great to hear! It's nice to have you back Oscar." She said.

The two made small talk before the woman realized that she left her telly on. Before she could leave, Oscar realized that he can take this chance to ask.

"Mrs. Luna, can I ask something?" he asked and the woman chuckled, "You already are but go ahead." She said. Oscar smiled at her, "Do you by any chance know an Olivia Flores?" he asked.

It was as if her eyes brightened at the mention of the girl's name. "Olivia! She is the sweet girl that moved in next door to you a month ago." She said pointing to the door next to him on his right.

His jaw dropped in shock, "Everything okay Oscar?" the woman asked. The driver nodded, "I just... I was delivered her package." He simply said. She smiled and nodded, "Well you can leave the package by her door with a note. She's gone most Mondays."

As the woman said her goodbyes, he did just that but decided on writing on a sticky note instead.

Hi! I don't know who you are and you don't me but here's your package! Don't worry it's still sealed you can check. See you around neighbor!

-Oscar (guy next to yours)
