@fan020: Oscar? Tattoo? The world has changed
@fan991: what tattoo is it?
➥@fan009: it's a butterfly apparently
➥@fan118: didn't he call liv his butterfly???
RACE DAY: Oscar was just walking out of the McLaren hospitality with Lando, they were off to fan stage, they were supposed to be there in an hour.
Like reflex, he heard Olivia's laugh. He turned and grabbed Lando's arm. "Wha-" "Liv!"
Lando didn't get to finish his sentence when he got pulled to where the girl was. There he noticed that the girl was talking to Mia. He stopped for a second but Oscar was determined to get to her.
"Liv." Oscar said happily. He was expecting that the girl would smile at him, but he stopped when he saw her face. She narrowed her eyes at him and he gulped.
"Uh-" "Uh oh. You're in trouble Oscar." Both Lando and Mia said at the same time. They glanced at each other and let out a laugh. The Brit nudged the Australian towards the frowning girl.
"What-what did I do?" Oscar asked nervously. She gently grabbed his arm and turned it slightly. The tattoo had now healed and she run her finger through the lines.
"When did you get this?"
Oscar realized what was running in her mind. He smiled softly at her, "Back in Japan." He simply said. She looked back at him, "This looks familiar."
His smile grew wider, "A nice redheaded model gave me it and I took it not as a sign but as a promise." He said. Olivia's jaw dropped, "A promise?"
Oscar grabbed her fingers, "A promise that I would wait no matter how long." He said with a smile.
Olivia stared at him in awe. He had done it again, make her heart melt and made her fall in love more.
He was about to say something when they heard the lid of the container drop to the floor. They turned to see the best friends picking between the brownies and the puto.
Oscar looked at his teammate confused, "You can't eat sweets, its race day." He reminded him. Lando nodded, "I know but Mia doesn't know which one to pick." He said.
The baker chuckled, "She can have as much as you but Oscar is right..." she trailed and grabbed the container. She smiled at the two drivers as she saw a glimpse of their PR team waiting for the two of them.
"Me and Mia will be in the balcony while you two go to the fan stage." She said as she stood next to Mia. The two drivers smiled at them; their support systems and one of the most important people in their lives.
"We'll see you both later."
Oscar and Lando were about to go after saying their goodbyes and getting their hugs, but before the Australian could go. Olivia grabbed his arm, he turned to her in confusion.
She smiled at him, "Please be safe Oscy."
He smiled back at her, "I will. My butterfly is with me."
And she knew what he meant. The butterfly on his tattoo, on the sticker on his helmet (a gift from Eliza, Mercedes' digital artist), and her. She was glad he thought of her like that.
The two girls watched their boys walk away. One with a calm heart and the other confused.
