Chapter 41: Welcome back

Alastair startled and stood up "that bloody bastard... Draven wake up." Draven jerked and held the back of his head "what happened?" "Your brother has lost his mind" Alastair growled. "Don't get carried away" Draven said, standing up "Don't get carried away? Lucifer beat us down and probably took Tracy and Elijah with him" "what makes you think that?" Asked Draven "because Tracy's and Elijah's bags are in the hallway and the receiver is next to the phone." Replied Alastair "you mean...?" Draven began, Alastair nodded.

Elijah unlocked the door and came in "he wasn't at the store either... father? When did you get here?" "We've always been here" Alastair replied "is Tracy with you?" "No, why and where is Lucius?" Asked Elijah "Lucifer" said Draven "how?" Elijah asked "Lucius' real name is Lucifer" Alastair replied "what? I'm dating the daughter of the King of Hell!" Elijah exclaimed in surprise, receiving only a nod from both demons in response. "How come you never said anything?" Elijah asked again, Alastair shrugged his shoulders "I didn't think it mattered" "then you never told him you were Lucifer's advisor?" Asked Draven "you're what!" Shouted Elijah "boy, why are you getting so upset now. We've got bigger problems than this right now." Alastair said and opened a portal "We'd better go home. I have a feeling Lucifer will be there with Tracy" Draven agreed "you might be right about that."

Simultaneously in a deserted place

Lucifer left the portal with Tracy "don't you dare scream again, my ears are much more sensitive in my true form." As the portal closed he let go of her and took his hand from her mouth "who are you and what do you want?" Tracy asked and took a few steps away, Lucifer took his human form again "Lucius..." "I am Lucifer.  A simple father who wants his daughter back." "What do I have to do with this?" "You don't remember, but you're my child." Tracy became incredulous "I'm definitely not a devil" "That's right" Lucifer confirmed "You're not a devil but a naphil" "A naphil? Is that the best you can come up with? Take me back to my home" demanded Tracy "your home is hell" corrected Lucifer "my home is in Cambrige! Where you took me!" Tracy shouted at him. Lucifer walked up to her, ripped the necklace off her neck and broke it into a thousand pieces. As bright smoke rose from the necklace, Tracy took a few steps back and tried to run away, but the smoke had already completely enveloped her.

She squinted her eyes and held her head "what... what is that?" "Memories and your powers," Lucifer replied. Tracy's hazel eyes, like Lucifer's, turned scarlet. Two dark gray angel wings protruded from her back. When the smoke cleared completely, she slowly opened her eyes and looked around, catching sight of Lucifer, "Daddy...?" She collapsed from exhaustion, Lucifer barely caught her before she hit the ground "Time to go home, little one." Lucifer walked with her through the portal, in hell he ran into Draven, Alastair and Elijah who arrived at the same time.

"Lucifer!" Came from Alastair "you have nothing to say to me Alastair" Lucifer said coolly and walked past the three of them "Lucifer! Give me Tracy" Lucifer stopped "and why would I do that?" "Because I'm not going to let you ruin her life anymore." Lucifer growled angrily, "i ruin her life?" "What's going on here?" Shinoa asked when she overheard the arguments and joined them, "nothing" Lucifer grumbled and left "Lucifer" Alastair began again "take your brat and get out of my castle!" Lucifer hissed at Alastair, Elijah pulled his father with him "come on, let's go to mother."

Shinoa followed Lucifer to the children's room, which had always been locked. "Can you open the door?" "Don't you want to put her in a guest room? If the door has been locked since she left and you've never let anyone in, the room will be totally dusty," said Shinoa "I already gave Saphyra the order to clean the room when I was in the human world. So would you open the door now?" Lucifer replied irritably. Shinoa opened the door "Don't take your anger out on me."

Lucifer didn't respond and entered the room, he put Tracy on the bed and sat on the window seat, Shinoa stood in the doorway "you're staying here?" "you see" Lucifer said grimly and looked up, "is there anything else?" "No..." "then go" Lucifer growled, Shinoa gave him a hurt look, lowered his head and left.  "Hey, are you alright?" Asked Draven "I'm fine" said Shinoa and walked into the garden. "Lucifer..." mumbled Draven and walked to the room "what did you do?" "why?" Lucifer asked "Shinoa just walked past me sadly, what did you do?" "Nothing" replied Lucifer "Nothing? And I'm supposed to believe you?" Lucifer stood up "what do you want Draven?" "Thanks to your thoughtless dealings, Tracy won't be waking up any time soon. You know very well that sealed memories and powers should be returned to the bearer step by step, because of you she now has a lot to deal with" Draven said seriously.

Lucifer walked into the garden and found Shinoa in the gazebo, "can I sit with you?" Shinoa fell silent and looked away, Lucifer sat down next to her "listen... I... " Lucifer began "yes, yes I know; you didn't mean it and you're sorry, blah blah" Shinoa interrupted annoyed "well I didn't mean to say 'blah blah'" Lucifer said smiling, Shinoa gave him a dirty look in response "sorry" Lucifer mumbled "I'm canceling Shaneeta's order for your clothes and you don't have to keep learning things as queen either" "what made you change your mind? " Shinoa asked, Lucifer put an arm around her and pulled her closer to him "because I realized you were struggling with it" "did you?" Lucifer nodded "yes. What do you want to do for the rest of the afternoon?" "We could go away with the children" Shinoa suggested "good. I already know where." A few minutes later, the carriage left the castle with Lucifer, Shinoa and the children.

Cana hurried out of the castle when the carriage drove up again in the evening "Your Highness... You must... big salon..." "Cana, stop, I can't understand a word you're saying. Take a deep breath and then start again." Cana took a few deep breaths "please follow me to the big salon." "Has Uncle Draven left again?" Nereus asked on the way "no, he's out for dinner with Lady Itona, he'll be back later" Cana replied and opened the door to the big salon. It was shrouded in darkness.

In the dark, the five recognized a silhouette standing in front of the fireplace, "whoever you are, reveal yourself." Lucifer demanded, the silhouette turned around and two red dots stared at the five, Lucifer stood protectively in front of Shinoa and the children "but now I'm offended, you don't recognize my presence?" Said the silhouette "how was I supposed to know them?" Lucifer asked, suddenly the light in the salon came on, revealing the mysterious silhouette "because I am your child." Lucifer's eyes snapped open, he walked up to Tracy and took her in his arms "you... you woke up and you remember" "yes... did you have to be so rude?" She asked, Lucifer smiled guiltily and let go of her "oh... you remember that too..." Tracy just nodded.

"Why does she have feathers on her wings?" "I don't know" "I think it's because she's no Naphil" "maybe, just ask" "no, you ask" the children whispered amongst themselves, Shinoa cleared her throat "hmm? Of course. Tracy, I'd like you to meet your siblings. Beliath, Nereus and Mazikeen and Shinoa my mate" Lucifer introduced, Tracy looked at Lucifer "are they all from you and the Lady?" Shinoa turned red in the face "n-no..." "after I lost you, I met and married another demoness." Explained Lucifer, Tracy looked at her father and noticed sadness in his eyes "I see, you don't need to tell any more" "do you have feathers because you're a Naphil?" Mazikeen asked "we can talk about it in more detail tomorrow, it's getting late" Lucifer interrupted. The children nodded, said their goodbyes and withdrew, as did Lucifer and Shinoa. Tracy stayed alone in the big salon for a while and then went out into the garden.
