Chapter 45: Nasty surprise

The next morning Lucifer went into his study, closed the window in amazement and looked around "strange... something is different" he sat down behind the desk and saw the pralines, he took the card and read "Something sweet for my sweet devil. Shinoa." Lucifer smiled and put the pralines aside, he worked until breakfast and then went into the dining room. "Where are Shinoa and Tracy?" Lucifer repeated "yes, she came back from patrol this morning" "she went out again yesterday?" Lucifer asked angrily "she left the castle shortly after you retired" Juvia replied and moved away a little "well she's in for a treat" Lucifer grumbled and was about to leave the dining room when Tracy came in yawning "relax, I'm here" she sat down in her seat, Lucifer sat down too.

Saphyra served the coffee when everyone was seated "Did you see who was in my study last night or this morning?" Lucifer asked "no your highness, by your order, there are no shadows in your office. May I ask why?" Answered Saphyra "The window was open. But it could also have been Shinoa when she brought the chocolate into my study." Said Lucifer "Should I call her in?" Saphyra asked "No, she should come to my office after breakfast" "As you wish" Saphyra confirmed. "Tracy, I want to see you in the office after breakfast too" "what have I done?" She asked her father "nothing, I just want to know who you want as your maid and who you want to be your advisor" Lucifer replied "Cana and Alastair, if that's what they both want" "why them?" After breakfast, Lucifer went to his study and Shagotte went to Shinoa in the stable "Good morning Shinoa, Lucifer would like to see you." "Good morning. Do you know what this is about?" "I think he wants to thank you for the chocolate" said Shagotte, shrugging her shoulders "Chocolate? I didn't give him any chocolate" said Shinoa "then I don't know either" said Shagotte. The two demonesses went back into the castle, Shagotte went back to her work and Shinoa went to Lucifer's study. She knocked and waited for an answer. She knocked again, again nothing. She knocked a third time and then entered.

Lucifer was engrossed in a kiss with Sarada so that they didn't even notice Shinoa "Lucifer... what does that mean?" The two broke away from each other and Sarada smiled triumphantly.
