"Come back to bed." Ace wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me back down, then covered me with half his body. "That's better." He pushed his face into my neck, and sighed happily. "Now be a good boyfriend and be my body pillow."

"It's Christmas."

He popped his head up, and then sighed. "Alright, alright. Go find your—"

"What the hell?!"

Both Ace and I exchanged looks at the sound of Asher's voice, and then were rushing down the stairs. He shouted. I've never heard Asher shout before. And especially since his professionalism meant a lot to him. It was weird to hear him yell those words loud enough that Ace and I heard him clearly from upstairs.

When I stopped in the living room, it lacked my brothers and Alastair, but housed almost everyone else. They were staring at the TV. I glanced at what could have caused Asher's outburst, and it all made sense.

"Wait, is that Cameron's Instagram messages?" I asked. "Why are you..."

The big title came back on the screen, and my eyes widened.

Asher Adair under heavy scrutiny after the leak of Cameron Windsor's Instagram messages.

Why the hell was Asher under scrutiny?

Cameron came into the room, yawning as if nothing happened. He was tapping his phone. "I can't get into my social media. Someone needs to fix this."

"Uh, Cameron." I cleared my throat. "I think you've been hacked."

He flickered his gaze to mine. "Hm?"

"Why the hell did you keep those messages?!" Asher was pissed. That was clear. "They are saying that you created my name. All because you carelessly kept your messages? Isn't that the first thing they teach you? Delete your messages."

Cameron was stunned into silence. And I wondered if it was because Asher yelled. "I..." He looked at the TV, and immediately straightened up. "Shit." Then he smiled. "Excellent."

"Excellent?" Asher laughed humorlessly. "This isn't even close to excellent! Because of your social media, I'm being torn apart."

"And you want to know something else, Mr. Adair?" Cameron was typing so fast on his phone, I could barely keep up. "Not everything is about you." He held the phone to his ear, still smiling like he won the lottery. "Did you get it?" He paused and I was confused. As was everyone else. "You did?" He looked like he was five seconds from crying. "I'll be back in New York tomorrow morning. Don't do anything yet." When he hung up, he threw a small celebration to himself. "Life is so fucking good!"

Asher was about to blow a gasket. "Cameron! What the hell?"

Cameron was still typing on his phone with a smile. "I didn't know that would be what was leaked, but you win some and you lose some. I'll fix your precious image, don't worry. You were collateral damage."

"I'm always collateral damage when it comes to you."

That made Cameron stop typing in his excited fury, and look at Asher. All of his happiness died in his eyes. It was as if he realized something behind his words, but I had no idea what was going on. Cameron was so excited over something unknown until he wasn't anymore. Those two stared at one another without exchanging words.

Until Cameron finally spoke. His spirit wounded. "My intention wasn't to hurt you, Asher. But sometimes there are more important things than someone seeing a message about me wanting to help you, and you turning down my damn help. I will post a statement when I'm back in New York and your empire will remain the same. But understand something for me. You helped those boys who are watching you yell at me—acting like help is such an awful thing to receive. You helped them. And maybe you need to remember that. This is a dog eat dog world. You saved the puppies, now take care of them. Stop letting eight year old drama get in the way."
