My Synesthesia

My Fellow Synesthetes

So I actually don't know that many synesthetes. There's lots here on Wattpad (like TheBrokenCrayon7) and that's why I'm writing this, to try and find some more. But I don't personally know that many.

I'm not sure if my parents have it. I've brought it up to my dad, but at first it kind of didn't seem like he, I guess, believed me that this thing existed. But with all the different forms there are, I can't be sure. I've never told my mom, so I have no clue if she has it or not.

My sister doesn't have any of the types I have. I told her about it while we were at our lifelong friend's house and we talked about it for a little bit. Our friend said as she turned back to the minigames on Minecraft we'd been playing that she didn't have synesthesia, didn't want to, and, as a joke of course, was proud of it :P. But you never know. My sister, on the other hand, seemed kind of interested but she didn't think she had the forms I mentioned.

One of my best friends has synesthesia, though. She has mirror-touch, grapheme-color, and I think auditory-tactile as well. Mirror-touch is the one where you feel what you see other people... feeling. o_O. WELL, synesthesia's not an easy thing to describe. But she has a strange variation of it, so she doesn't have the whole feeling thing, but if she sees someone eating something, she can taste whatever it is that they're eating. I've already explained grapheme-color, and I think she has auditory-tactile as well, which is where certains sounds cause you to feel sensations in your body. If she HEARD someone being slapped, she would feel the slap, but she would feel it on her ear.

So, yeah. That's pretty much it. I really want to meet more synesthetes in real life, so I hope I will soon.

By the way, I'll be updating pretty frequently because it's summer, so I have lots of free time, and my family's not really going anywhere for the summer, so yeah. :D
