Disadvantages

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I literally have no excuse :P

There aren't very many disadvantages to my synesthesia, but there are a couple.

My grapheme-color has some strange disadvantages. So if I see a grapheme in a color that doesn't match the color I see, it usually doesn't bother me. But if I see it every day, well, that can get complicated. So I have braces, and my orthodontist gave me a bag of some stuff I'd need while I had them. There's a laminated sheet I got that tells you stuff like what you can't eat and things like that. But at the top of one side it says "Four Things That Can Shorten Treatment Time." Behind the word "four," there's the numeral format, but it's in a color that's very similar to the color I see for the number 3. It was really getting on my nerves after a while :P.

Ticker-tape has a worse disadvantage. So sometimes if I'm watching TV, I'll be watching a show I've already seen, and so I'm kind of remembering certain parts of it and imagining the scenes and my brain, of course, has to add in those sneaky little subtitles. But at the same time, my brain's showing the captions for what's currently playing on the screen. So basically, it's just trying to do two things at once. And before I can do anything about it, I start to get a headache. It's so weird. Luckily, it doesn't happen too often.

My chromesthesia's not really a problem. Recently, I got this digital music program called GarageBand, and there's a bunch of digital instruments to use. I've been experimenting with the different ones, and some of them make me see some weird stuff. If I hold down a key on several of the synthesizer instruments, what I see is like a small-ish blue sphere going around in circles. Actually, it's less of a circle and more of a jellybean shape :P The thing is, I could watch the sphere go around, and it would make me dizzy :P

Side note: I recently found out I had motion-to-sound. There's no issues with that one.

Yet. :D
