It's been a while! But, hey, first post o' 2016!
Now, I'm going to reflect on times in the past where my synesthesia has popped in. And also, some random thoughts I've had over time that are related to my synesthesia. HERE WEH GO.
When I was younger, I had the closed captioning on the TV all the time, except for when the show's CC was in all capital letters. See, my ticker-tape pays attention to that stuff. It's got punctuation and capitalization based on what I've adjusted to. So I didn't like it being in all caps, I guess.
I've told the Nature Club 8 story about second grade, so....
When my sister and I were younger, we were watching "Phineas & Ferb" and there was this thing they were doing with a giant die and one of them rolled the number 3 and I told my sister what 3 looked like to me. "3, to me, is like..."
From some random point in time (I don't remember when) I started having a book open on my bed whenever I was watching TV or just thinking because I wanted a good font in my head.
My favorite numbers were always based on their colors. For example, I started liking the number 4 when my favorite color was green.
"Christmas" is red in the beginning and it has some red, yellow, and blue, and "Eve" is green. Makes for a fun event.
I once (well, probably more than once) called spaghetti "espaghetti" because my mom is from Peru and has an accent, so the way she said it, just a moment before I said it, was in my captions and I was basically just reading it.
I've been watching some shows that are in Spanish, and I realized I remembered some words that I learned when I was little, and they are actually correctly spelled in my captions.
My school spelling bee happened and I won! Excitement? Yes. Thoughts of if it's not fair since I have my captions? Yes. But my captions sometimes give me the wrong spelling, which messes with my thinking.
I was planning to put this up before the new year, but ran out of time, so that's why this is the 2016 post. :P
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
