Hello, friends! A lot has happened since I last updated this.
May 14th, I believe was the date, back in 2015 was a particularly interesting day. Yes, it was the day I truly found out about synesthesia. It's been a year since then, and that's a crazy thought. I've found out so much more about synesthesia and how much it's affected my life for so many years. Funny detail was that if it wasn't for this annoying kid in my math class, I would not have been sick that week, and I would not have been at home reading and Googling away, which meant I wouldn't have found out about all those types of synesthesia and things would have turned out differently.
June 21st is approaching as I am writing this. That was the day, in 2015, when I uploaded the first chapters of this story to Wattpad. I connected with all of you guys that day! It took some courage to start it. I thought there'd be hardly anybody else out there who could relate to my experiences. But there have even been people who have found out about synesthesia beause of this story, or they've become comfortable with telling other people about it because of this. Someone even told me that they thought they were crazy and that they were scared that no one else had these kinds of experiences until they read my story, and that now they could finally tell someone about it. I certainly didn't think my story could change somebody's life in that kind of way when I started writing this.
Another funny little detail: I found out about Wattpad because some of my sister's friends, on in particular, had begun writing on here and she mentioned the site. She didn't give me the name of the site or app at first, actually, so if I did not have any occasional mischeivous ways, I wouldn't have sneaked a peek at her phone to see what it was even called. I would not be writing this.
But that's what happened. And I'm so happy that this story has helped people and that I've been so lucky to have you guys to relate to and share my experiences with. Thank you all for this year!
