Michael

I've accepted the fact that I'm a sitting duck. I don't know who's trying to kill me, but whoever it's is, they must be enjoying themselves. I'm on edge all the time, especially when putting up flyers. It's getting so bad even Tyrin notice it. He'll ask what's wrong and I'll play it off. I should've went to the police with that note, but I couldn't risk Logan's life, so I didn't. My parents are oblivious to what's happening. I just go on with my life like a normal guy. Not like a guy who could only have hours left to live.

I'm at the mall chilling for once. Tyrin insisted we take a break and reward ourselves to a relaxing day at the mall. We walk around and I feel completely guilty. I could be at least dropping off stacks of flyers at stores. I shake the thought off. I can give this day to Tyrin, he deserves it for being such a good friend. I smile at him as he continues talking. I have no idea what he's talking about though.

"...but this random ass girl comes up to me and she's like, 'you wanna have a good time with me baby?' and I'm just confused like what the fuck? I don't even know you! She was just a walking STD." I chuckle as I catch the end of his story. He pulls out his phone looking at the screen and answers it.

He lights up like a kid on Christmas Day and starts looking around quickly. A pretty girl with cocoa brown skin, brown eyes and a double nose piercings comes from a nearby store and taps Tyrin while he swivels his head like crazy. He sees her then swoops her up and they embrace each other. I smile at her and extend my hand as Tyrin introduces us.

"Hey baby, this is Michael. He's the flyer guy I was telling you about. And Michael, this is my girlfriend Alexis, she's the one I said I'll beat anyone's ass over her." I chuckle as Alexis giggles, playfully rolling her eyes at Tyrin.

"Hey Michael, it's really nice to meet you. I'm so sorry about your girlfriend Logan. You're very strong handling the situation like you are." Her words sting a bit, but I grin and shake it off.

"It's nice to meet you too and thank you, but she's not my girlfriend-"

"Yet. He was gonna scoop her up before she went missing." Tyrin said, cutting me off. I nod and Alexis's face shows sympathy.

"Wow. That's so sad. Well, she'll be so lucky to date you when she's found." She gives me a sad smile and I smile widely at her.

This is one of the things I already like about Tyrin and Alexis. They were very helpful and considerate and they talk about Logan as she's going to be found, not if she's going to be found like everyone else.

We all walk around together and I'm a third wheel, but for once in my life, I don't care. They don't leave me out of conversations, they're a very nice couple. Lots of girls have tried to come and un-third wheel me, but I decline them all. I just can't do it. Call me a Debbie downer, I have my very good reasons though.

We go to the food court and I sit at a table as Tyrin and Alexis go get food. I look around the food court to see if anyone is watching me, I can't help but carefully scan every room I'm in now. I take a deep breath and put my head down on the table.

I need to get myself together.
