Logan
I wake up from my alarm clock going off loudly in my ear on my bedside table. I groan and turn it off and look to see that it's 6am. I get up and go to my bathroom, still tired not fully awake. I look in the mirror at myself, caramel light skin, green eyes and dark curly hair. I wasn't bad looking at all. Actually, if there was anything nice I thought about myself, it was how pretty I was. I did my morning routine as usual throwing on some black leggings, gray tank top, black cardigan and gray boots. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. My mom and dad were both in the kitchen talking and acknowledged me as I came in.
"Good morning baby! Did you sleep well?" My mom coos and I smiled as I sit at the table across from my dad.
"Good morning and I did." My mom nod and turned back to the stove as my dad put down his paper and stared at me with an eyebrow raised. I grin and put my right elbow on the table with my hand open.
It was arm wrestling time.
Me and my dad arm wrestled every morning. I always lost, but I put up a good fight. My mom giggles as she sits down a plate with bacon, pancakes and scrambled eggs in the middle of the table. She came by us and put her hand on top of ours.
"I want a clean match. No cheating Vince and no complaining Logan. Alright? One, two, WRESTLE!" I grunt as my hand slowly inched down towards the table. I grip the edge with my free hand till my knuckles were almost white. My dad noticed and teased me.
"Don't give yourself a brain hemorrhage, Logan." I frown and tried to concentrate. My dad started singing Back That Azz Up by Juvenile. I wince and tried not to laugh.
"Girl you look good, won't you back that ass up. You a fine motherfucker won't you back that ass up. Call me big daddy, when you back that ass up. Hoe, who is you playing with? Back that ass up!" My dad rap-sang poorly. He slammed my hand down on the table and I fell out my chair, holding my sides laughing hysterically on the floor.
See, my dad is white and my mom is black. He thinks he's an Oreo, which is why and how he got with my mom. My mom and dad both laughed while I slowly get up off the floor. We all calm ourselves as we eat our breakfast.
"You know dad, you should think of becoming the next Eminem." I joked. Him and my mom laughed.
"Please, don't give him any ideas." My mom giggles. I finished the last of my breakfast and my dad smirked.
"Oh, don't act like you didn't love it." He winks at my mom and she started blushing. I fake gagged and hopped up from the table.
"Well, I gotta go now. Please, don't make me an older sibling while I'm gone!" I kiss them both on their cheeks and I grab my bag from the floor and opened the door.
"Love you guys, see you later!"
How wrong was I.
