Angela
(Logan's Mom)

I sit down on the couch in the living room and stare lifelessly at the clock over the fireplace, and it reads 7:15pm. I shake my head slowly as silent tears trickled down my face.

Where was Logan?

I shudder and jump a little when Vincent came and sits next to me, putting his arm around my shoulders. I lean into his hold and sigh.

"It's been four hours, Vince. Why can't the damn police do something already?" Vince sighs loudly as I look up at him.

"They said in order for her to be reported as missing, she has to be gone for at least 24 hours. They said they will be here tomorrow at 4, just to make it as early as possible for us. I'm sorry Angie, I miss her too." His eyes gloss over and I sob and shake his arms off me.

"You can't possibly believe that I'm going to sleep at all tonight knowing that my baby is out there with some damn pervert!" Vince stares at me like I have two heads and stand up, running his hand through his hair. He turns away from me, then turns back and his eyes starting to tear up more.

"I know, I know. I don't understand. This isn't like her at all. Her phone is off so we can't track it, she doesn't talk to the kids at school so I doubt any of them seen her, we treat her good and we love her so it can't be that she ran away. I don't know what else to think except someone kidnapping her. But who?" He tries to control his emotions, and I jump up from the couch and hug him hard.

We both lose control of our emotions together. All I know is that if Logan was kidnapped, we're gonna find out who's to blame and soon.

Michael

I woke up this morning reminiscing about yesterday after school. I talked to Logan Browning and just as I thought, she had a beautiful personality to go with her beautiful face. I smiled at the thought when I told her I'll always be there for her, because it was true. I jumped out of bed and get ready in double time so I could get to the bus bench to talk to Logan.

I walked out of the house with a kool-aid grin on my face, but it quickly dropped as the Fucked Up 4 (Logan's nickname is growing on me) we're standing on the sidewalk in front of my house already.

Damn.

Oh well, they aren't going to stop me from talking to her.

"Hey fellas, ladies." I put on a fake smile and greet them. Shana, the bitchiest of the two girls, cleared her throat for our attention. She smiled sweetly at me and bats her eyelashes.

"Michael, are you gonna sit alone with me today on the bus?" I chuckle nervously at the ground and shove my hands in my pocket as we start walking towards the corner.

"Uh Shana, I think it's a little rude to just ditch Sadie like that." Shana whips her head towards me and scoffs.

"Oh, but it wasn't rude when you ditched us on the bus ride home yesterday to sit with that weirdo?" Ian and Todd 'ooh' while Sadie laughs. I snap my head up and glare at Shana.

"Hey, don't start that shit with me today, Shana. One, I didn't ditch you guys; Ian had Todd and you had Sadie, which is totally different. You're trying to ditch Sadie to sit with me alone today. And two, don't call her shit like that. Logan did absolutely nothing to you so back off." They all get quiet as I finish ranting.

We walk the rest of the way to the corner in silence, we turn it and my face automatically lit up at the thought of talking to Logan again, but it quickly went away when I look down the sidewalk to see the bus bench was empty. I frown, today was definitely a Wednesday and school was in session. It was weird cause Logan was always at the bus bench and the first one. Sadie giggles.

"Aw, looks like your little 'crush' isn't here today, Michael." She giggles louder and I glare coldly at her and she stops. We get to the bench and they all sit down. I stand and stare at Logan's house, which is right across the street from the bench. I furrow my brows as I see something laying at the corner before crossing the street to Logan's. I walked towards it with curiosity.

"Hey man! Where you going?" Todd yells after me. I put up one finger telling him to wait and jog the rest of the way to see it was a bag. I pick it up and stare at it confused. This was the bag Logan was wearing. I shrug to myself.

Maybe she got sick and dropped it?

I decide to just go and give it to her. I look both ways before running across the street and straight up to her door, ringing the doorbell. A tall built white man with dark brown hair and dark gray eyes with bags under them, opened up the door right away. He looks like her dad and looks disappointed.

"Yes, can I help you?" I hold up the bag and open my mouth to speak, but a short black woman with black curly hair and brown eyes and tear marks on her face squeezed pass the man.

I always knew Logan was mixed, I just had no idea which one of her parents were black.

She interrupts me, taking the bag from my hand and hug it to her body. She grabs my hand with wide watery eyes and speak rapidly.

"LOGAN'S BAG! Oh god, have you seen her? Is she ok? Do you know where she is??" She fires off questions, grabbing my hands. The man pulls her wrists, gently prying her hands from mines and speak calmly to her before she turns around nodding and walking back into the house. He turns to me, tiredly rubbing his face.

"I'm sorry, we're very stressed at the moment. Where did you find that bag young man?" I jerk my thumb behind me and speak quickly.

"It was laying on the sidewalk across the street, I saw it when I was waiting for the bus. I-Is Logan alright? I asked worriedly. The man looks at me and shakes his head.

"We don't know, she never came home from school yesterday. We haven't heard or seen from her since she left the house yesterday morning. We don't know where she could be." My jaw dropped as I processed what he was saying. I stare at him with wide eyes.

"That can't be, I talk to her yesterday at the corner before she went home." He lit up a little and grasp my shoulders.

"What's the last thing you saw her doing?" He asked and I suck in a deep breath.

"She was at the corner staring at me smiling, I smiled back then went around the corner down there pass the bus bench and that was it." I feel my heart drop to my stomach. He trembles and mutters quietly to me.

"You're the last person who saw her before she went missing." My eyes widen a bit and the man looks at me.

"Do you mind coming back here at 4 to tell the police that same story?" He asks and I nod my head. He pats my shoulder, thank me then close the door. I feel my blood freeze from head to toe as I turn around, heading back to the bus bench.

Logan was missing?

I was the last one to see her?

I will do more than tell the police everything I know.

I will find her too.
