Brunei pov
"You're going to visit them?" Iskandar asked.
I glanced at him for a second. "Uh, yeah. I mean, since they're in our territory, we should treat them like our guests as their host and please them with our hospitality. Are we... Not?..."
We stared at each other in silence for a few seconds. Then he let out a breath.
"You are right." he muttered barely audible to my ears. "In that case." he straightened his posture. "I would like you to babys- Cough! Watch after them for safety reason. Like you said, our country will be held responsible if anything happen to the nations while staying under our wings. Beside, it can be a little vacation for you. If you can consider being away from the office for days one, I suppose..." my eyebrows twitched.
Iskandar scratched his neck with a sheepish smile. "They're... A bit of handy work... I'm sure you can manage though."
He's not wrong. Mal and Indo is the worst duo of all time. Where did they got the idea to be a married couple again? I swear they only have the talent for causing chaos and massive headache.
" I will do my best to keep them on the leash. You know what they said, we can't leave a cat and a dog together without supervision." I said, waving my right hand on the air while keeping the other one by my waist. I heard him chuckle as I walked away.
Oh well, I can only pray for the best...
"Miss! I'm glad to see you here again!" The nurse on the counter approached me. Oh my... I just walked in!
"Ah, good morning, ma'am. Uhm... Should I feel nervous?..."
She gave me a sympathetic smile.
"The couple had another fight it seem. This time though, the husband was the one sulking now. He refused to leave his room nor did he talk to his wife." She explained, trying hard to keep a straight face.
I have to stop myself from face-palming! That is so childish! Why am I the one responsible for them again?
"Oh my, I'm so sorry for the trouble they caused! I'll talk to them about it." I bowed my body a bit.
"It's fine, miss. It just, they're causing others doctors and patients uneasy with the heavy tension. We appreciate your help."
I nodded briefly. I have to leave this embarrassing situation. With that in mind, I quickly made my way to my lovely colleagues.
With a final deep inhaling and exhaling, I pushed the double door open.
Indo sat by the window, his left hand supporting his head as he gazed at the view. Head tilted, back slouching. His body visibly relaxed. I realised I forgot to knock.
I knocked on the door lightly. Enough for him to turn around with a narrowed eyes.
"Ugh, you again." my eyebrows twitched slightly. What a detestable guy!
I caught myself and tried to be calm. keyword, tried.
With an annoyed smile, I eyeing him. "Good to see you are well, Indo. May I know why your wife is missing now?" I asked. He frowned and turned around.
"The usual. You know..." he mumbled almost sounded like he was down. So it was that bad...
Sighing, I left the door open to prevent any unwanted rumours and sat on the other side of the room from him.
"Why are you here? You don't have to trouble yourself with our fight." he muttered, a shadow fell over his eyes. I rolled my eyes. What an emo, did Mal dump him or something? I can't help but smile at the thought. Silly me.
