After closing at the DX and Steve dropping me off at the house.
I get a call
It's dally
I pick up the phone and said "Curtis"

" it's dally I'm using a pay phone gag I know but are y'all free tonight? We should go to the dingo I'm itching for a burger, I was thinking about inviting two bit and Steve as well but idk I'm sure twobits planning on getting drunk or some shit"

I tell for Darry and he says that's cool and we don't have any food so it works

"Yeah man that works I can call up two bit and Steve, no Johnny tho? I'm sure he needs an excuse to leave his fokes for the night" I say

"Uh yeah he's already with me.... Anyways we gotta rap it up I'm not paying to use this stupid shit again!" Dally says

"Alright man" I hang up and call two bit first

"Yeah I was planning on getting drunk as fuck but I guess I can get blackout after" he says as he's tapping something and it's rlly dam annoying.

I call up Steve and my heart skips a beat for some reason I shake it off and call him up

"Yeah that would me sweet, also I'm keeping ur jacket." And he hangs up

I'm not mad about the jacket I have a few of him myself I like them because they smell like him. His scent is addictive, is that weird?

Steve's pov:

I kept his jacket for two reasons
1 that little shit takes mine
2 it makes me feel safe

I sound like a pussy when I say that but it's true being around soda makes me feel warm even without a jacket. That was poetic I should be a poet.

I get changed into not work jeans and out on a shirt and sodas jacket and grease my hair.

I hop in my car and start it and start going to the Curtis house. I see a photo of me and evie and my heart sinks I can't believe she broke up with me. Over what? I never did nothing. I throw the photo out the window and try to forget.

I knock on the door and pony boy answers and yells for soda "your dates here!" In a high pitched voice and a mockery tone.

Soda runs out and says "REALLY?" In a higher tone

I roll my eyes and walk in. Darry is reading the news paper and looks up and says "do you have a curfew? Do you know a guardians number?" As he raised an eyebrow.

"Im 18 and can do what I please thank you very much" I say in a sassy tone as Darry stands up  and rubs my hair and fucks it up with that stupid grin "sure little guy"

I go and fix my hair in the bathroom and soda comes out of his room and goes behind me and scares the living crap out of me.

"Jumpy aye?" He says in a accent that's very interesting..

"We have to go get two-bit, dally and Johnny are already there."  Pony says as he walks out to hear the commotion.

We pick up two bit and go to the dingo, Darry's driving and pony's in the front and me and soda are in the back seat.

"Nice jacket" soda says with a grin

"You too I wonder where u got it?" I say knowing it's mine"

He elbows me and Darry looks in the rear view mirror and says "do I need to turn around you two!"

We get two-bit and head for the dingo, dally and Johnny where inside talking and we walk in and dally waves us down and he already had drinks.
"A Pepsi for pony; Johnny's idea
A beer for two bit
A cola for soda
An Arnold Palmer for Darry
And a cola for Steve!" Dally listed.

Me and soda always get cola's we sometimes share them at the DX.

We all order and while there all talking about random stuff Steve puts his arm around me.
I start thinking about how I used to do that with sandy but after she cheated I haven't dated anyone. It was comforting especially from Steve.

Johnny and pony are talking dally and Darry are talking and two bit is talking to the waitress. So it's just me and Steve. His arm is warm and it's really nice and it kinda makes me blush and I'm not sure why. I could tell he was a bit red too.

We all disband and pony goes with dally and Johnny two bit with Darry because he's drunk. So it leaves me and Steve with no car.
It's only about 9  and the street lights are on giving us a little light. We walk home without having any socs jump us which is impressive at night.

We get to the house and Steve walks in with me and two bit is passed out of the couch and Darry is reading the newspaper again.

Me and Steve step back outside and we say goodbye and good nights and plans for tomorrow
"Alright man goodnight" Steve says then shortly after I say goodnight and quietly a little "love you" slips out and Steve looks at me and asks "my bad what did u say?"
"Just see ya"
"Alright" he says as he jumps in his car.
