Christmas morning.
Fuck.
My parents weren't really Christmas people.

So I just left.

I hopped in my car and drove over to the curtis house.

I walked in and soda ran up and hugged me
"Hey soda" I said shocked a bit
"HI ITS CHRISTMAS!!" Soda said in a eccentric tone
"No shit?"

" I gotta get dressed I'll be right back!"
He just wore shorts and a shirt. I hadn't noticed to be fair

He ran to his room

"He sure does love you don't he?"
I look over to see darry making pancakes
"Yeah apparently"

Pony walked out of his room
Johnny went into the room after he must have stayed the night.

Johnnys clothes was at the house so he could stay the nights without going home first.

Pony wore the same thing he did all the time
Sleeveless shirt and jeans.
Johnny came out of pony and sodas room in a Jean jacket and jeans.
He might as well have jean socks.

Dally walked in with twobit with a case of beer and a few presents

"Drunk? On Christmas? U don't take a day off twobit" pony said looking at the case
"9-5 job"
"Right" I said

He set the case down on the table and the presents under the tree

Darry had set up everyone's plates. Exactly how everyone wanted them.

Ponyboy: 1 pancake syrup and butteredeggs scrambled.

Johnny: 2 pan cakes with syrup and butter eggs scrambled on the side (given to pony, it wasn't the same if pony just got the eggs, some weird system they had)

Twobit: 2 pancakes only with butter with a sunny side up egg.

Dally: mini pancakes syrup, butter, no eggs.
(Weirdo)

Soda: 2 pancakes with jelly and butter, eggs scrambled with extra pepper.

Me: 2 pancakes butter and syrup, scrambled eggs with hot sauce.

Darry: 1 extra toasted piece of toast with butter  and 1 pancake also extra crispy with butter and syrup, and a sunny side up egg.

Now for drinks. Everyone expect for darry and dally had milk, both of them were lactose intolerant. Twobit and pony had chocolate milk.

"Soda ur so weird." Dally said.
"What did I do!" Soda said
"Jelly... on pancakes?"
"Yeah!"
"Strange."
"Imagine being lactose intolerant!"
"I'm lactose intolerant!" Darry said
"Well.. still!" Soda said

After everyone ate we went to the couches to open presents.

Darry had gotten: a hat from soda, a belt from pony, a apron that said "kiss the cook" from twobit. I had gotten him a pair of boots. Dally had gotten him a few black shirts. He loved his black shirts. Johnny had gotten him a belt buckle.

Twobit had gotten: a Mickey Mouse sweater from soda- the one he had showed me. A Mickey Mouse mug from pony. A leather jacket with Mickey Mouse on the pocket from dally. A sleeveless mucky mouse shirt from me.
Nice sun glasses from darry along with a Mickey Mouse case for them. And finally a Mickey Mouse lighter from Johnny.
I'm feeling a pattern.

Dally: a nice red switch from soda. A necklace like he wore from twobit. A leather jacket from darry. A few packs of his favorite cigarettes from Johnny. Pony got him a nice red shirt with a band on it that dally liked.  I got him a chain bracelet like he always had on.

Soda: a new hat from pony. A new flannel from johnny. A new pair of shoes from twobit. Darry got him a set of weights. Dally had gotten him switch blade comb.
I was terrified when I handed him my present
"Oh steve.. it's perfect" he put it on and leaned on me. We were sitting next to each other.

I got a nice plain open shirt from twobit. A new knife from dally. A pair of jeans from darry.
A hat from Johnny. Pony had also gotten me a opened shirt. Their both awesome and personally I'll take 100 of them.
Soda gave me a really nice necklace with a message on it like I had gave him. Everyone awed at us
"I love it poppy"
I grabbed his collar and kissed him

"EWW" twobit and dally said in a childish tone.

Pony had gotten a few sleeveless shirts from soda. A new comb from me. A nice new lighter from dally. A copy of gone with the wind from Johnny (a/n here, the whole church thing never happened and he never got one)
A new pair of sneakers from darry (he needed them.. badly) two bit got him a new switch blade.

Johnny got a new Jean jacket from pony. A royal blue switch blade from dally. A nice pair of boots from darry. A few shirts from me. And a pair of black converse from soda. And a few packs of cigarettes from twobit.

(I think everyone got everyone something I may have missed someone in the giving but I don't think I did 🙏🙏)

"Y'all I got one more thing" dally said when he stood up

He walked to "his" car- bucks.

He came back in with a nicely wrapped box to darry.
He handed it to him and sat back down

Darry raised an eye brow.
"Should I be scared?"
"Nah nah it's cool"
"Alright."

He u wrapped it

Took the top of the box.

His eyes grew and he shut it

"Holy shit." Darry said
"I know right?" Dally said
"U can't be serious"
"I am"
"I can't take this"
"It's already made."
"Damn it Dallas"
"I knew u would be pissed"
"I AM!"
"Well"
"I can't take this man"
"U gotta"
"How did u even afford this!"
"U don't gotta worry ab that, don't worry nothing illegal"

"OK WHAT IS IT?" Pony yelled confused

"Dallas I'm serious I can't take this"
"Oh yes u can"

"TELL US WHAT IT IS ALREADY" two bit said

Darry looked at dally
"Well u gonna tell them?" Dally said

Darry looked up and said
"It's my letterman.."

Holy shit.
No way dally spent that much.

"Really?" Soda said his eyes wide
"Yeah" dally said

"It's a thank you for.. all the times you've bailed me out.. got be out of a pinch.. u deserve it. Ik u wanted one but you could never afford it especially after.. yk so I got it for you, I snuck in and found ur letters and patches" dally said

"Well u gonna let us see?" Twobit asked

Darry took it out of the box.

Yeah a letter man.

Shit that much have costed a ton.

I RAN OUT OF IDEAS FOR PRESENTS.
Anyways I planned the letter man for a while before I wrote this.

If u didn't know lettermans jackets are jackets u get once you play a varsity sport/extra something (drama ect) in highschool. U get a letter then u buy a jacket and u get it custom made.
There hella expensive.
