I've been home a day now and me and soda are planning a date.

The date.
THE DATE.

I won't get stabbed this time

We are planning to just stay in the lot. Nothing to special.
We are gonna hang out in the truck bed.

When I got off of work with soda we went back to his house.

I ran to my truck quickly while he got dressed

Opened the glove box and saw the ring box and shut it again.

Tonight's the night.

"Ima head home and get dressed I'll be back in like an hour" I said to soda

I drove home scared shitless

I was nervous for tonight

I got home and changed into a nice pair of jeans and my usual sleeveless opened shirt
Should I put on a shirt under it?
Or should it just be opened like normal.

I wore it like normal.
I re greased my hair
And headed back to the house

It was about 7

"Steve!" Soda said as he hugged me
"Hey soda"
"Long time no see!"
"It's been 40 minutes"
"That's like.. at least 30 minutes"
"Good enough"
"Look at you! I missed ur muscles, you look good in anything just not a hospital gown.."
"Thanks soda."
"I bet I can still beat you in an arm wrestle tho"

I took his torso and hoisted him on my shoulder
He yelped
"Put me down!!"

I pretended I was gonna dump him over my shoulder on the floor
"NOPE!" He grabbed my arm
I laughed and set him down

"Not funny"
"I think it's hilarious"
"Nope"

"Whatever" he pretended to flip his hair and walked outside

I followed and he hopped in the truck bed
I did too and he pulled me down to sit with him

"I missed you a lot" he said
"It's only been a few days. You saw me everyday"
"Still! I missed your voice, your smile, the way you're always flexing your muscles to show off. The way you do everything is hard not to miss."
"I really missed you too, I wanted to see you every hour I could"

"What did you do when you wherent at the hospital?"
"I just hung out. With Darry or with pony. I even tried to hang out with Dallas. Didn't work. Don't tell him but it wasn't that fun."
"What did you guys even do?"
"Tried to play cards. He got mad and chucked the deck at my face."
"Oh. That's Dallas."
"Yup"
"Besides that nothing. I just. Went to work. Went to see you. Went home."
"I just stayed in the hospital shocking I know"
"Wow really I hadn't even noticed!"
"Oh shut it"

He leaned his head on my shoulder

"I missed your hands. I thought about them a lot. I held them in the hospital but you couldn't hold me."
"Well I can now"
He scooted closer and I wrapped my arm around him
"I like you a lot Steve. I think I have a crush on you"
"Really? I- I do too..."
We burst out laughing

"Do you remember that first night? We were both drunk and made out?" I said
"Yes! Of course I remember. And then the next day we fucked."
"I thought I was gonna die! Never being bottom again. Don't know how you convinced me to do that."
"Yeah not a fan on being top. Glad we figured that out."
"I had liked you for a while before that"

I went into the glove box and grabbed the ring box.
I hopped back in the truck and soda was confused

"Do you love me this much?"
"What is it?"
"Take it."

He opened the box and his eyes widened
"Holy shit Steve."
"So do I win the bet?"
"Nope."
"What?"
"You don't win. I still love you more"
"Damn. Still don't think so. I guess now I gotta ask"

"Will you marry me?"
"What do you think? Yes! Yes I'll marry you"

He set down the ring and grabbed my collar and kissed me harder than ever before. You would think we havnt seen eachother in ages. His hands cupped around my face and mine around his. He was pressed so hard ageist my face it felt like he was gonna break my nose
I flipped him over holding his hands down as we made out

We pulled off to breath for a second
"Fuck I love you Steve" he said catching his breath
I sat next to him
His cold hand touched my chest and it caught me off guard and I jumped
"Ha jumpy"
"Shut up and kiss me already!"

He nodded and kissed me again
He held my face as I ran my hand down his arm and shoulder
We met hands and held them
I hit my head on the bar behind me
"Ah shit my bad"
"Ur good. Make up for it though"
"Sounds good"
We continued
Felt like he was gonna break my hand
I reached behind me for the box

I pulled off and grabbed his hand

I put the ring on
"I love you soda."
"I love you to randel."
"That's weird. Thats like me calling you Curtis."
"Got a point. Let's continue now shall we?"
I nodded and we kissed for a long ass time before deciding to head inside

Soda ran and hugged Darry who looked at me and nodded softly

Pony and Johnny were asleep on the couch.

Soda went and shook them awake

"What?" They said in sync
"Guess who's engaged fools!"
"I don't know man" pony said half asleep
"Me you idiot!"

They popped up
"What?"  Pony said
"Really?" Johnny asked
"Yes sir!" Soda said

I swung my arm around him
"That's great. I'm tired."
