The next day, Jin-Ah laces her shoes, ready to go to school. She walks up to the door and grabs the handle to open it but is interrupted by her brother who is leaving his room with a yawn and a very messy bed hair.
"Hey, Jin-Ah! Are you going to school?" he asks.
"What the- you were awake?"
"I woke up a while ago. Be careful of the cars on your way to school." he advises her, scratching his belly with his hand under his shirt, allowing his sister to see his abs.
"Jin-Woo, have you been working out?" she wonders.
"Um... a little?"
"You look more buff, but does exercising make you taller as well? Do you guys grow taller even after turning 20?" she continued, using her hand to compare her height with his.
"Stop asking weird questions and take this umbrella." he orders while showing her the object.
"I don't think it's going to rain. And besides, my bag's going to be heavy." she contests.
"It's a lightweight folding umbrella. Stop whining." he says while forcefully slipping the blue umbrella in her bag.
She grumbles but accepts it, leaving as her brother waves at her with a smile. After she left, he glances at the window of the daily quest opened next to him.
"I think I'll run a little later." he declares to himself, having done all the other tasks. "I'll ask Hee-Jin if she wants to join me."
The two of us have been running together in the hospital since we met, he would probably be disappointed if we stopped to do so. That thought apart, he stares at his arm, his muscles standing out.
"There's no way my body changed this drastically from a few days of working out. I'm pretty sure my stats are having an effect on my build. My strength stat points keep rising, so I think my body's changing in order to achieve maximum efficiency." he resonates while lifting the bottom of his shirt to see the most visible proof of his statements. "Am I investing too heavily in my strength stats?"
Very probably. While his other stats are at 30, his strength stats are at 51.
"What if I keep investing in it?" he wonders, imagining a ridiculous buff version of himself. "Is this what I'll end up looking like? I sure hope not. Even if I'm capable of causing a lot of damage with my attacks, it won't mean anything if I can't hit the target and vice versa."
His hand approaches the blue window, hesitating in front of the stats.
"Strength and agility go well together, so I'll invest in agility to start. When it comes to strength, the higher the better, but my sense stats turned out to be way more useful than I thought they'd be, especially in the D-rank instance dungeon." he recalls. "Intelligence is the only problem. I think it'll have something to do with magic abilities, but do I really need it?"
His decision taken, he increases his sense, agility and strength stats. Health and intelligence stay at 30.
"This should be good enough, right?"
He is distracted by his phone ringing on the sofa. He picks it up without looking at who is calling, thinking that it is a call from the hunter's association.
"Hunter Sung Jin-Woo speaking."
"Geez! You finally picked up." a voice scolds. "Jin-Woo! Why haven't you been answering my calls?"
"Sorry. I got into an accident, so I was at the hospital." he explains.
"Tsk, tsk. I see. No wonder. Anyways, uh, Jin-Woo... I'm calling because I haven't received this month's rent yet..."
