"And it's done!" Naya shouted—louder than necessary—and for a second, I thought she was actually going to flip the table. Her entire face lit up, like someone had just handed her a golden trophy dipped in glitter.
"Yes, but don't get too excited," Vardaan muttered, because of course he did.
I shook my head at him, biting back a smile as Naya spun over to my side of the table, doing a weird little victory dance that only she could pull off. Her joy was infectious, and honestly? I understood.
This inter-school competition was draining us all like leeches in blazers.
Evyaan showed up right after we wrapped, casually strutting in like he didn't just skip skating class to be here.
Of course, he booked the entire VIP corner for us—because why not add 'dramatic flair' to his growing list of personality traits?
It was completely unnecessary, borderline excessive, and the kind of move that would normally spark a very long, very sarcastic argument between us.
But I didn't say a word.
Mostly because Naya looked so happy dragging her things into the plush seats and claiming the space like it was hers by birthright. And maybe because... I didn't hate it either. The privacy.
So yeah—we're back at the same café. Same chaos. Just minus one very loud, very irritating addition.
Vikar.
Vikar is off with Aakib for some sports related thing, thank god.
When Evyaan did what he'd promised—well, forced-promise—and introduced him to the school as his "friend," everything exploded.
