“Alice, Matt’s here! Come on.”
I went to the living room, Matt stood up as a smile flashed on his lips. He kissed me on my forehead as I went to his side.
“Let’s go?” I nodded then left the house.
Yes, I accepted the reality that I was duped again. Fooled by the man I love. I settled with his favor, be his girl while I was still here in France. I knew this was silly but what would I do? It was the thing that makes me happy, I want my life to be happy for as long as I was still holding it.
I even talked to Ben and told him everything and he understood. I knew it hurt him, but he said it’s okay. He wanted me to be happy.
The moment I was with Matt was just like before, just like what we had. But it’s just a favor, it will not be everlasting, there were still limitations.
Matt was driving the car while his other hand was holding mine. We will be going to Couzeix. He had a gig with his band mates, of course Antoinette and Edward will be there too.
Ever since the day Matt and I settled on his favor, I had no time to hang out with Antoinette. Matt told her everything and he asked her to give the time for us together, and Antoinette granted.
When we reached the pub, everyone stared at me. I was reminiscing the days when I was still in college with Matt.
“They were staring, why?” I asked Matt.
“Because you’re with me. I am famous, because I’m Tom Cruise.”
“Braggart!” I tapped him on his shoulder but he just giggled. We entered the pub and went to the side where the other members were preparing.
“Alice!” I saw Antoinette walking to my direction. She hugged me.
“I miss you so much.”
“So I did.” I said.
We looked for a seat on the pub when Matt told us that they will be staring.
The band started to play, with Matt as their lead singer.
“This song is for you, Alice Christine Collin.” He said with the microphone. Antoinette pinched me on my waist.
“That’s Matt.” She said.
“You’re the one who never let me sleep through my mind and through my soul you touch my lips.” That song was by Alamid, YOUR LOVE.
Matt’s eyes were locked to mine as he was singing. I knew I was blushing but I don’t care.
“You’re the one that I can’t wait to see, when you’re here by my side, I’m in ecstasy.”
I could feel that the eyes of the customers on the pub were also laying on me. But who cares.
“I’m all alone without you but days are dark without the glimpse of you now that you came into my life I feel complete the flowers bloom the morning shine and I can sleep.”
