The Arcandox

Chapter Twelve

Derrick and Isabella got to the city by night fall as they went to a secret safe house located somewhere in the city and as they settled in, Isabella asked

"So what's the plan? You haven't filled me in on any details"

"The plan is that we try to find The Arcandox before the others do"

"And how do you suppose we do that?"

"I'm still thinking about that"

"Oh I see"

Isabella said and Derrick just ignored her and went to sleep, the next day they both of them were walking around the city in order to find someone known as Ricardo

They went to a brothel in search of him as he was known to be an expert in manipulating energy as he's a human-demon hybrid

He gained his energy manipulation abilities from his demon mother as his mother was a demon and his father was a human but his parents were killed just for having him but he was rescued by Derrick and trained by him until Derrick had to go for a mission and he was left to fend for himself

Derrick knew that Ricardo liked women and the one place he could easily be found was a brothel, so as they got to a brothel that was known as Rick Rock

Derrick knew that this was it as he and Isabella walked in, they was lots of men and women having sex, even at day time the brothel is still opened to everyone, it's like a 24 hours service

Anyways, Derrick and Isabella met up with a prostitute and asked her about Ricardo who was the allege owner of the place

The prostitute hesitated at first but she thought it over and told them where Ricardo was, the both of them walked into a room where Ricardo was busy having a threesome with two other ladies

When Ricardo saw Derrick he told the ladies to leave immediately and the left and then Ricardo said

"You dare show your face here?"

"What can I say, difficult times"

Derrick replied and then Ricardo asked

"What do you want?"

"You know what has been going on for the past years haven't you?"

Derrick asked and Ricardo just looked at him and answered

"Yeah I do, you betrayed your people and now they're looking for you so what of it? Have you come for my help?"

"You know I'll never bother you with that, that's my business"

"Then why are you here?"

"I won't tell you much, but the Arcandox is missing and I need your help to find it"

"So this was all about the Arcandox wasn't it? You want to power all for yourself don't you?"

Ricardo said as Derrick just glared at him and Ricardo said

"Alright I'll help you find your missing artifact, the sooner I find it the sooner you leave before your friends show up"

Ricardo's eyes glowed yellow as he started using his powers to track down the energy signature of the Arcandox but he couldn't so he decided to track down energy signatures of different realms that has either been destroyed or abandoned and he was able to track most of them except for one

"I've been studying realms for a while now and I pretty much know all of their energy signature but as I was tracking and sensing the energy signatures of some realms that I think the Arcandox could have fallen in, I was able to read all but one"
