Continuation from the previous chapter:

Anirudh had just turned to go inside when the sky burst open with heavy raindrops. Within moments, the soft drizzle transformed into a downpour, and Anirudh instinctively turned back. His eyes found Bondita, standing there, letting the rain drench her completely.

**"Rim jhim yeh saawan phir
barsaatein le aaya hai..."**

The cool rainwater streamed down Bondita’s body, soaking her from head to toe. She stood still, eyes closed, as if embracing the rain, her face lit with a soft smile. Anirudh, without blinking, just watched her. His heart thudded in his chest, a strange warmth spreading through him that he couldn't quite understand.

**"Mausam mohabbaton ka
khud chalke aaya hai
Saare shehar mein sirf
humko bhigaya hai..."**

Bondita raised her arms and spun around slowly, letting the raindrops fall freely on her skin. She was enjoying the moment, free of worries, while Anirudh stood rooted, unable to tear his gaze away from her. His feet, almost on their own, began to move toward her, until he too was standing in the rain, now equally drenched.

**"Pehli mohabbat hai aur
pehli yeh baarish hai..."**

Bondita giggled and twirled again, her drenched hair whipping around her face, but suddenly, she slipped on the wet ground. She closed her eyes, bracing for the fall, but instead of pain, she felt a firm grip around her waist. She opened her eyes to find Anirudh holding her tightly, his arms wrapped protectively around her.

**"Bhar lo baahon mein
Aasmaan ki nawazish hai
Kitne khush hai dekho na
Yeh aasmaan..."**

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Anirudh didn’t let go. He gazed down at Bondita, her face inches from his. The intensity of the moment overwhelmed him, and before he could stop himself, his fingers lightly grazed her waist, slowly tracing her skin. Bondita shivered at his touch, a soft blush rising on her cheeks.

**"Hai khushnaseebi meri
Saare zamane mein
Joh humsafar tune
Mujhko banaya hai..."**

Anirudh’s fingertips trailed up from her waist to her face, brushing against her cheeks with a touch so soft it made Bondita’s breath hitch. His eyes locked with hers, and for the first time, she saw something different in his gaze—something warm, something tender. She felt her heart race, but before the moment could deepen, she blushed and gently pushed him away, taking a few steps back.

Anirudh smiled faintly, watching her retreat, but his feet followed her instinctively.

**"Rim jhim yeh saawan phir
barsaatein le aaya hai..."**

Bondita stopped a few feet away, the rain still pouring down on both of them. Anirudh approached from behind, his eyes fixed on her back. Slowly, he placed his hands on her shoulders, and Bondita twitched at his touch, her body reacting to the unexpected closeness.

**"Raahein ab saari jaake
tujhse mil jaati hai..."**

Anirudh gently turned her around, bringing her face-to-face with him. Their eyes met, and Bondita blushed again, this time looking away to break the intense eye contact. But Anirudh wasn’t done. He lifted her chin, urging her to meet his gaze again. His fingers lingered on her face, as if memorizing every inch of her features.

**"Jitni bechaini mein tha
Pehle yeh safar mera
Utna sukoon maine
Tujh mein ab paaya hai..."**

His voice was soft, barely a whisper, as he said, "Mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai, Bondita..."

Bondita’s heart fluttered at his words. She nodded with a smile, encouraging him to continue. Anirudh’s hand slowly slid to her waist, pulling her gently closer to him.

*"Main tumse yeh kehna chahta hoon ki... ki..."*

Bondita’s anticipation grew. "Boliye na, Sakha Babu..." she whispered.

Anirudh hesitated, his heart racing in his chest. "Ki... that... I... I... I lo..."

**"Rim jhim yeh saawan phir
barsaatein le aaya hai..."**

Before he could complete his sentence, a loud thunderclap echoed through the air, jolting both of them back to reality. Bondita gasped in surprise, her hands instinctively pushing away from him as she stepped back.

"Chodiye mujhe, Sakha Babu..." Bondita said, her voice tinged with nervousness.

Anirudh blinked, as if waking from a trance. His heart pounded wildly in his chest as he realized that everything he had just experienced—holding her, confessing his feelings—had been a dream. He hadn’t said anything. He was still standing in the rain, but the warmth of Bondita in his arms was just a figment of his imagination.

"Yeh kya ho raha hai, Anirudh? Aisa sapna... woh bhi Bondita ke baare mein? Yeh kya ho gaya hai mujhe..." he muttered to himself, confused and shaken by his own emotions.

Bondita, oblivious to his inner turmoil, called softly, "Sakha Babu..."

Her voice snapped him back to reality. He quickly stepped away from her, letting go of her waist, and said in a clipped tone, "Andar jao, Bondita."

Bondita frowned slightly. "Par, Sakha Babu—"

Anirudh cut her off, his voice firmer this time. "Please, jao andar."

Bondita hesitated, sensing that something was off, but she nodded and quietly went inside, leaving Anirudh standing alone in the rain, still battling the confusion and emotions swirling inside him.
