Bondita walked out of the study, her face emotionless, but her hands curled into tight fists. The air in the house felt suffocating, every corner pressing against her like a reminder of what she was leaving behind. But she didn't stop. She didn't hesitate.
Her footsteps echoed in the long hallway as she walked away, her heart heavier than ever. The house, once filled with warmth, now felt like a prison she needed to escape.
Hidden in the shadows, Mishti smirked.
She tilted her head slightly, watching Bondita disappear into the distance, a victorious glint in her eyes. She had won-at least for now.
But as she stood there, her smirk faltered, her mind drifting back to what had happened earlier.

Flashback - The next day after Bondita Left
"I'm sorry, Anirudh! Please listen to... to me!" Mishti's voice trembled as she hurried behind him, desperation evident in her tone.
Anirudh didn't stop. His strides were long, determined, as if he hadn't even heard her. His face was blank, unreadable, but his silence spoke louder than words.
"Mishti, stop following me!" he finally snapped, his tone sharp, cutting through her like ice. "My decision is final! Only one month, and you're fucking out of here!"
Mishti's breath hitched, her chest tightening. She swallowed the lump in her throat, blinking back the tears threatening to spill.
They had just reached the door when it swung open.
Mishti's eyes widened in shock.
A man stepped inside-his face, his presence, everything about him was eerily identical to Anirudh.
Her heart pounded as she stared at him, unable to comprehend what she was seeing.
Anirudh, however, stood frozen for only a second before his entire demeanor changed.
His eyes softened, filling with happiness, a rare, genuine smile breaking across his face.
"Batuk!!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with joy.
The man-Batuk-grinned widely before running forward, throwing himself into Anirudh's arms.
"BIGG DDDDDD!!!" he yelled, excitement bursting from his voice.
Anirudh hugged him back just as tightly, his happiness unmistakable.
Mishti, standing at the side, watched silently, her mind spinning.
Everything had changed.
Anirudh pulled back from the hug, his hands still gripping Batuk's shoulders as if making sure he was real. His eyes held pure joy, something that hadn't been there in a long time.
"How the did you come here, Batuk?" he asked, his voice filled with surprise. "You didn't even tell me you were coming!"
Batuk smirked, shoving his hands in his pockets. "I wanted to surprise you, Big D! So, I just... came." He shrugged casually. "No plans, no warnings-just hopped on a flight and showed up. And seeing your face right now? Totally worth it!"
Anirudh shook his head, sighing at his younger brother's reckless attitude. "You never change, do you?"
"Why would I? Life's more fun this way!" Batuk grinned before his gaze drifted to the side.
His eyes landed on Mishti.
She was still staring at him, her mouth slightly open in shock, as if struggling to process how he and Anirudh looked exactly the same.
