Chapter Four
Dinner Talk
Season 1, Episode 1
"I don't want to have this conversation in front of Addi."
====================================

The day after Martha Kent's funeral was tense in the Davis household. Nora and Danny tried to talk to Amelia about the events in the barn, but every time they did, Amelia would walk out the room. Amelia walks down the stairs to find her family sat in the living room watching a film.
"Hey, I'm going out with Sarah to get a bite to eat. I'll see you guys later." Amelia says.
"We still need to talk about yesterday." Danny reminds her.
"And we will. When I'm ready." Amelia says. "See you guys when I get back. Bye Addi."
"Bye, Ley-Ley." Addison responds.
The blonde sends her family a wave before walking out the house.

Ameila was sat with Sarah at the cafe, they two had ordered a milkshake each, Ameila got chocolate and Sarah got strawberry, along with their milkshake, the pair each got a bowl of fries.
"So how are you after what happened?" Sarah asks, putting a fry in her mouth.
"I'm doing okay. Still can't believe I only had a small concussion." Ameila says.
"Same. There's definitely something the Kent's aren't telling." Sarah says.
"Like what?" Ameila asks.
"I'm not sure. But, maybe it is none of our business anyway. They are going back to metropolis in a few days and then we probably won't see them again as there is truthfully no reason for them to come back." Sarah explains.
"Maybe your right." Ameila says.
"Why do you sound disappointed about that?" Sarah asks.
"I just think the they are nice. That's all." Ameila says.
"Sure. I saw what was going on between you and Jonathan." Sarah says.
"Nothing was going on between us. We are just two people who managed to be really lucky after getting crushed by some poles." Ameila says.
"You got each other's numbers." Sarah points out.
"So?" Ameila asks.
"I saw the way you were looking at each other." Sarah says.
"We weren't looking at each other in anyway. Plus, he's got a girlfriend."

Jade stands back as Jonathan and Jordan open the barn doors, before the three of them walk in.
"You really think dad's hiding something from us?" Jonathan asks.
"We had all those poles land on us." Jordan points out.
"Besides, how did he get them off you so fast, and how did I lift one?" Jade asks.
"I don't know adreniline, maybe? Like soccer mom lifting a car, or something." Jonathan suggests.
"Dad can't put up the chritsmas tree without falling of the ladder." Jade points out. "And what's the thing he says every single time we come here?"
"'Don't put your finger in that' I don't know." Jonathan says.
"Stay out of the barn, dumbass." Jade says.
"Jordan, what are we looking for anyways?" Jonathan asks Jordan, who had walked up ahead of him and Jade.
"Something unusual. Something out of place." Jordan says.
The three look around, but Jade steps on a plank, feeling it move and hearing it creek causing her to stop.
"What?" Jonathan asks, seeing his sister stood still.
"You hear that?" Jade asks.
"The poles. They must have shifted the floor." Jonathan suggests.
"I think it's a door." Jordan says, moving some on the hay out of the way.
They move the hay fully out of the way to reveal a padlocked door. Jordan and Jonathan break the padlock before Jonathan goes gets the flashlight. When he comes back Jade takes it off him.
"Come on." Jade says.
"Careful, Gia. We don't know what's down there. Maybe I should go first." Jonathan says.
"I'll be fine." Jade says. "Come on."
Jade starts climbing down the ladder, her two brothers following after her. The three of them all shine their flashlights around the room.
"It's just an old cellar." Jonathan says. "It's probably grandpa's old tool storage or something."
"Jon. Jordan." Jade says, causing the two to come over to her, where she had found something covered with a tarp.
The three of them pull of the tarp to reveal a space ship like thing.
"What is that thing?" Jonathan asks, as him and Jordan step back. Jade walks over and reaches out. "What are you doing? Do not touch that. Gia, do not touch it. Jade!"
Jade touches it and the metal moves.
"Oh my god." Jordan says.
"Did you see that?" Jonathan asks. "Did you see that? What the hell is that? No, no, no, no. What was that? Gia, what was that? Gia, what are you...?"
Jade reaches her hand out again, keep it there, causing the metal to open and a orange stone to come floating out, into Jade's hand. As she grabs it the hole closes.
"What is that thing?" Jordan asks, as him and Jonathan walk over.
"Whatever it is, not from Kansas." Jade says.
The three of them all of a sudden turn to the hatch, where they hear a car pulling up.

~~~~~
Amelia was sat having dinner with the rest of her family. Things were silent, no one dared to say a word. Addison was looking around at her sister, mother and father confused.
"So, Amelia. Are you going to explain to us what you were doing in the Kent's barn in the first place?" Danny asks, finally speaking up.
"We were just trying to restart the rotar." Amelia asks.
"Really?" Nora asks.
"Yes, really. Why don't you believe me?" Amelia asks, causing Danny to let out a sigh and place his hand on his head.
"Does this have anything to do with what's been happening this past year?" Danny asks, causing Amelia to scoff.
"I don't want to have this conversation in front of Addi." Amelia says, before pushing her pate away. "I'm not hungry anymore."
Amelia then gets up from the table and walks away, ignoring her parents call for her to come back. She walks up to her room and gets ready for the bonfire while messaging Sarah to find out where they were going to meet.
