Chapter Twenty Seven
The Bench
Season 1, Episode 5
"This is amazing."
====================================

Amelia stood infront of Jonathan in the Cushing kitchen.
"I'm so sorry about what I said, Amelia. I was stupid and drunk, although I know that's not a real excuse." Jonathan says.
"No. It's not." Amelia says, crossing her arms.
"I was upset about Eliza. But not because I still like her but because I was scared." Jonathan admits. "Scared that everything was changing."
"Jordan messaged me and told me you were trying to convince your parents to let you move back to Metropolis." Amelia says.
"That's because I thought you hated me and I can't bare the idea of being here and you hating me. I can't bare the idea of you hating me in general but being here would have just made it harder." Jonathan explains.
"If you don't want to be with me, Jon, you can just tell me. I will understand." Amelia tells him.
"No. No. No. I want to be with you Amelia I really do. Please you have to believe me." Jonathan says, in a begging tone. "I'll do anything to prove to you that I want to be with you."
"Anything?" Amelia asks, a smirk coming to her lips.
"Yes. Anything." Jonathan replies.
"I'll have to think about it." Amelia says.
"That's fine. As long as you need." Jonathan tells her.
"Mr Cushing made some pancakes if you want to stay and have some." Amelia says, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Sure." Jonathan replies m.
"Okay. I'll go get them." Amelia says, with a smile,  before walking to the garden.

~~~~~
Amelia was stood between to Jonathan and Sarah and the six teens stood listening to Lana.
"As you know the Harvest Fest was you moms favourite time of the year. And we really feel her absence. Martha Kent was everything this town aspires to be. She was kind, she was generous, and she was always there when you needed her. Everyone in SmallVille can remember her sitting right here. Talking with, laughing with whoever was right there beside her. And though she is no longer physically with us. Her spirit remains and she will be right here for whoever needs her." Lana explains, before stepping to the side before revealing to plague on the bench.
'Martha Kent. The best of Smallville'
Everyone claps as Amelia looks at Jonathan who had a few tears in his eyes. She rests her head on his shoulder causing him to look down with a wide smile.
After everything quietened down, the six teens had decided to stay. Amelia,  Jonathan and Jordan were sat on the bench, Sarah and Grayson were stood either side of the bench, while Jade had gone to get a drink for all of them. After a couple moments Jade comes out of the coffee shop looking down at the company's card in her hand. She stops a minute to read it before looking up and waving to the group then heading over.
"Hey." Jade says.
"Hey." Amelia says, standing up so Jade could sit on the bench.
"This is amazing." Jade says, sitting down next to Jonathan.
"She really was a remarkable woman." Grayson says, causing them all to smile.
"She helped so many people." Sarah adds.
"She was the best grandma ever." Jade says, as Grayson places a hand on her shoulder.
Amelia stood there looking down. She really missed Martha Kent. She couldn't help but think if Martha hadn't of helped her she wouldn't be here.
"Hey, Lia. You okay?" Jordan asks.
"Yeah. Just a bit tired." Amelia answers.
The group go back to talking. Jonathan and Amelia make eye connect as Jonathan looks at Amelia worriedly.
~~~~~

Jade was sat on her bed, writing a song. The brunette had recently really gotten into music. She was on the second verse and was humming a tune when she all of a sudden got a feeling that Jordan was in trouble.
