Chapter Thirty Four I Want The Truth Season 1, Episode 6 "I want the truth, Jonathan. I deserve the truth!" ====================================
After everything was under control, a soilder from the DOD was questioning Amelia. "No. No,he didn't try to hurt me." Amelia tells the soilder. Amelia then makes eye contact with Tag as he gets led out by a couple of the soilder's. Tag, who was in handcuffs, goes to say something but gets pulled away. "Those won't be necessary." Amelia hears Superman say, before the officer takes the handcuffs off. "You're not going to be alone anymore. I promise." Tag then get's put in the back of the truck before the doors close and the truck drives away. When the truck drives away, Amelia walks away from the solider questioning her, and up to superman, as she watches the truck drive off into the distance. "He's going to be okay. Right?" Amelia asks. "He's in the best hands possible for the situation he's in." Superman tells her. "May I ask, why do you care so much about him even after he kidnapped you?" "I've known him for as long as I can remember. He's been my friend for so long. I feel bad that he's going through this. He doesn't deserve it." Amelia explains. "He'll be okay." Superman reassures her. "Will I be able to see him again?" Amelia asks. Superman sighs. He knew he couldn't promise her something that might not happen. "I wish I could promise you will. But I can't. But I can assure you it is very likely you will." Superman says, causing Amelia to slowly nod and look at where the truck was last seen. "Come on. Let's get you home."

The Kent family were all at home. Jonathan had been to the hospital about his hand, which turned out to be broken. "The doctors said the cast comes off in six to eight weeks." Clark informs Jade, Lois and Jordan. "It could have been worse." Lois says. "Yeah. He also said that 'maybe' I get range motion back. So..." Jonathan says. "Jon, I'm so sorry..." Jade starts. "Just shut up, please." Jonathan tells her. "You know I never meant..." Jade starts. "Okay, but you did." Jonathan snaps. "You did, Jade. You got emotional and then I try to step in the middle of it like an idiot and now I have a broke ass arm and I'm probably never going to play quarterback again. So, thanks. Thanks a lot." "Well, I'm sorry for standing up for my brother. I am sorry." Jade snaps, tears in her eyes. "I'm going to bed." Jade then walks out the room and upstairs. "Jon, you know that she never meant to hurt you." Jordan tells Jonathan. "Jordan, that has nothing to do with it." Clark cuts in. "He's upset, and he has a right to be. I told you both, your powers come with responsibility, and I need you both to get that." "Honey, we know it was an accident. And we know that she is sorry. Jon knows too, he just needs some time." Lois says. "Can we not talk about me like I'm not here?" Jonathan asks. "Sorry." Lois says, before turning back to Jordan. "But your dad is right. Things are different now." "Yeah, I know. We know they're different." Jordan says. "Do you? Because you made a big point at the hotel of saying you're different from me." Clark says. "But your not. That anger Jade felt that made her want to use her powers the way she did tonight. I have those feelings too." "You do?" Jordan asks. "Yes. But I keep them in check. Otherwise I risk losing the trust of the very people I swore to protect." Clark says. "When I first showed up in Metropolis as Superman, there was a lot of talk about what the world should do with someone who had powers like mine. And it toke me a minute to realise that people where more afraid of what I could do than I was. So what I had to do more than anything was earn their trust, prove to them that no matter what, I would earn their trust. I would never use my powers to hurt them. 20 years later, and every time I use my powers, that trust is tested. Every time. Just today in fact. Look, the thing about trust, Jordan, it takes a lot longer to heal then a wrist." "It's late. Both of you go get some sleep and we'll talk about this more with Jade in the morning." Lois tells her sons. "How's Amelia?" Jonathan asks. "Shaken up, but okay."Clark says. "Can I go see her tomorrow?" Jonathan asks. "Of course." Lois says. Jonathan smiles slightly. Nodding before leaving.

Amelia was sat in the kitchen on her laptop, when her mom walks into the room. "Addison's now asleep." Nora informs her. "That's good." Amelia says, closing her laptop. The blonde picks her laptop up with one hand, before heading for the stairs. "Are we going to talk about tonight? What happened with Tag?" Nora asks. "I don't want to talk about it." Amelia tells her. ""I'm okay now. That's all that matters." "Please, just talk to me." Nora begs. "There's nothing to talk about." Amelia replies. Amelia then turns around and walks upstairs.

The next morning, Amelia and Nora were at the Kent's house. Amelia and Jonathan were stood outside on the porch, leaning against the railing. "Amelia, are you okay?" Jonathan asks. "Shouldn't I be asking you that? Your the one with a broken arm." Amelia half jokes. "Your the one who was kidnapped." Jonathan points out, causing Amelia to sigh. "It's just crazy. I've known Tag my entire life and now he has powers or whatever." Amelia says, before looking down. "I was really scared, but I knew that he would never hurt me. He was just really confused, and he was really focused on Jordan. He showed me this video from the night of the bonfire. He had this whole theory that whatever happened, whatever gave him these powers, happened because of him." Amelia then hands Jonathan her phone so he can see the video. "I don't know why he said that." Jonathan says, handing her phone back. "You know, even if there was something, you could tell me, right?" Amelia tells him. "Yeah, of course." Jordan says. "I want the truth, Jonathan." Amelia says. "I deserve the truth!" "I promise. There's nothing going on. Tag... he just doesn't like me, Jordan and Jade." Jonathan says. "Okay." Amelia says, slightly unconvinced.
Once the Davis' were gone, Jade walks outside to where Jonathan and Lois were. All of a sudden she gets a high pitch ringing in her ears, causing heer to stumble as she places a hand to her head. "Jade?" Jonathan asks concerned. As he says her name she collapses to the floor and starts convolsing. "Jade!" "Clark! Clark!" Lois shouts, as her and Jonathan kneel beside Jade. Clark rushes over from the barn and Jordan runs out from inside. "Jade! Jade!" Jordan says, as they all kneel down beside her. "I have to get her to the fortress." Clark tells them. Clark then picks her up, and shoots off into the sky.
