Out of Your League
Season 1, Episode 6
"Come to me when are ready to tell me the truth."
====================================

Jade was sat in the living room reading a book. Her brothers and father were outside running plays for football. The brunette gets to the bottom of the page before closing her book and looking at the clock that sat on the selve above the fireplace. She puts her book down, standinf up and walking over to it. She takes her earphones off and tries to focus on the clock, but the pain becomes to much and she shoves the earphones back into her ears, letting out a fustrated sigh.

~~~~~
The next morning, Amelia was stood with Sarah, waiting for the light headed brunette to get her books, when Jordan and Jonathan walk over.
"Yo, Davis. Cushing, hey." Jonathan says. "Didn't see you guys at lunch today. Is everything all right?"
"Maybe you should tell us." Amelia says, as Sarah closes her locker. "Why isn't Jade at school again today?"
"She's still not really feeling well." Jordan answers.
"Right." Amelia says, rolling her eyes as she walks away.
"Hey, hold on. Hold on." Jonathan says, following her, as Sarah and Jordan stay stood by Sarah's locker. "What's going on?"
"You're lying to me." Amelia says.
"About Jade being sick?" Jonathan asks.
"You know what happened to me with Tag and you're acting as though Jade not coming to school is... it's kind of werid." Amelia says.
"Yeah, Amelia. Amelia. Hey, look, I know what happened with Tag, okay?" Jonathan says. "And I'm really sorry about that. It's really messed up. But Jade had nothing to do with that. Neither did Jordan."
"That's not what Tag said." Amelia says.
"What, because of some stupid video?" Jonathan asks. "Did you even watch it? Seriously? Look, I mean, there's absolutely no way that Jordan gave Tag powers or whatever. And also, truth be told, the reason Jade's not at school at the moment, is because Tag jumped her and Jordan the other day."
"But Jordan's here." Amelia points out.
"Jade got the worse of it." Jonathan says. "It totally messed him up, and now she's having these terrible headaches."
"Why would she just tell me? I mean we're friends." Amelia says. "At least I thought we were."
"You guys are. But, I don't know. I guess she didn't want you to worry." Jonathan says.
Amelia scoffs shaking her head.
"I really wish you would just tell me the truth." Amelia says.
"I am." Jonathan says.
"No, you're not. You weren't telling the truth when you told me you liked me and now you're not telling me the truth about Jade." Amelia says, before sighing and shaking her head. "Come to me when you are ready to tell me the truth."
Amelia then walks away, ignoring Jonathan's calls for her to come back.
~~~~~

Jonathan couldn't get what happened with Amelia out of his head. He was trying to close it locker, but it wouldn't cooperate, causing him to repeatedly slam it.
"You sure showed that locker." A girl says, walking up to him, with a couple of her friends.
"yeah, had it coming." Jonathan says, turning to the girl, recognising her as one of Amelia's friends. "Uh, hi."
"If the zipper get's stuck, maybe you should try talking to it first." The girl tells him, handing him his bag. "Nothing good ever comes from anger."
"Right, yeah, yeah. Sure. I mean, I'm not going to, like, talk to my backpack. That's weird." Jonathan says.
"Right. I'll see you around new guy." The girl says, walking away with her friends.
"No, no, no, no." Jonathan turns to see Sarah walking up to him. "Jonathan! No! Not, Tegan Wickhem. She's way out of your league."
"That's a bit presumptutous. And besides, how do you know what my league is?" Jonathan asks.
"I know it's not her." Sarah says.
"Wow. Thanks. But anyways, you know I like Amelia. I was just talking to her because I know the two of them are friends." Jonathan says.
"Amelia and Tegan? Friends?" Sarah asks, with a laugh. "Amelia hates her."
"What? Why do I see them talking a lot then?" Jonathan asks.
"Tegan's tried taking every guy Amelia has ever shown an interest in. The only ones she failed at were Grayson and her most recent ex Wesley." Sarah inorms him.
"I had no idea." Jonathan says.
"You're lucky, Amelia didn't see that. Or else you would be in deep waters." Sarah says, with a small laugh. "But, Amelia is also way out of your league."
"Wow, thanks." Jonathan says, causing the pair to laugh.
"I know what happened between the two of you earlier. Just give her sometime. She'll come around. She's just really worried about Tag. He's her friend. And you, Jordan and Jade are the only people who really know what happened, so." Sarah says.
"Yeah, I know. It's a lot keeping a secret like that. I know." Jonathan says.
"Not being the only one who knows about this helps. Guess I'm pretty lucky to have you." Sarah says.
"I guess I've been in Smallville long enough to know that you're different from everyone else." Jonathan says, the pair completely unaware that Jordan and Amelia had entered to corridor.
"Really? How so?" Sarah asks.
"Mm... I don't know. Just... just, like, more real I guess." Jonathan says. "I can tell you have a lot of stuff on the inside and I get that. I get how hard that can be. So, I guess what I'm saying is, that if you ever need someone to share that with... I'm always here."
"Wow, you're kind of in a better league then I thought." Sarah says.
Amelia, who had heard the whole thing, hurt by the thought of her best friend going out with the guy she liked, turns around and walks away, before either of them could see her.
