Chapter 17 Opaline Comes To Town

Opaline paced in front of her tree testing the connection "Hmm... Ugh! Opaline, Opaline, Opaline. It's clear you're" she said outload making the pumpkins reappeared at the together tree in Maretime Bay " ...the most brilliant Alicorn in the universe! Wow! Ha!" she cried "Just as I suspected! That useless Together Tree I grew all those years ago has finally made a connection with another one! And the perfect one, at that. Which means I've discovered a magical tree network! Which means that pumpkin and ponies and me can travel between them! Ha! Take that, Twilight Sparkle! Aah! I mean... Take that, Sunny Starscout And Xavier Smith Opaline's coming to town" she said sinisterly "Can we get started yet? We're so excited!" Sunny said to Pipp "This haunted house has to be perfect. And right now, it's almost perfect. But we still need more cobwebs. More lighting! Just... more!" said Pipp panting "We'll all work together so we can get this done in ten minutes tops. All hooves on deck! Let's go, go, go!" said Izzy blowing into a whistle "Thanks, ponies. I appreciate it" said Pipp A magical door appeared at the together tree and  maniacal laughter followed as Opaline walked through "Hello, Maretime Bay. It is I, Opaline Arcana, about to turn this night into a nightmare spectacular!" said said "Oh, hooves! That was so cool!" said a pony named Sander "Amazing!" said Sugar Moonlight "Do the laugh again! Do the laugh again!" said Sander "What?" questioned Opaline "And the entrance! Great entrance! But I missed that first part where you cackled. So you just pretend I didn't see your dramatic pose and try it all again, 'kay?" said Sugar Moonlight "Oh, oh, oh! And can you say my Dad's name when you do it? It's Butter! He'd get a real kick out of this!" laughed Sander "You're not scared?" asked Opaline she expected them to be terrified of her "Oh, yeah! Like, soooo terrified!" chuckled Sugar Moonlight "FEAR ME!" yelled Opaline getting angry "Fear me, Butter!" said Sander "Oh, wait! Is that, like, your catchphrase?" asked Sugar Moonlight "'Cause we love it!" laughed Sander "Argh! Stop filming me!" she yelled into Sander phone "Yeah, that's it!" said Sander other ponies started to clap "Stop applauding!" Opaline yelled "Get angrier!" said Sander "UGH!" yelled Opaline in frustration "This maze is complete!" said Pipp "With just one last ingredient..." she said she pulled a rope and fake bats fell from the celling everypony apart from me and Misty screamed then laughed "Fake spiderwebs feeling strong!" said Pipp flying to another section of the Brighthouse "With just one last touch..." she said again she pull a rope making the fake bats fall again everypony scream expect for me and Misty Pipp flew to the kitchen "Apple treats tasting delicious!" she said "Hmm... But you know what's missing?" she said "No, Pipp! There's no way you—!" began Sunny "I was gonna say a dash of nutmeg!" said Pipp they all sighed Pipp then with a smug look pulled a rope and like all the times before fake bats scream laugh "That better be the last one!" said Zipp "Pipp, you got us good!" said Izzy "So good!" laughed Sunny Pipp saw the me and Misty haven't screamed and laughed like the rest of them "Misty, Xavier what's wrong? Why didn't you scream with the rest of the group?" she asked "Do you not find bats scary?" asked Zipp "Would you prefer giant spiders?" asked Pipp A/N: Giant Spiders won't work on me being Australian big spiders are kind of a normal thing just so you know: "Mmm-mmm. It's nothing personal, Pipp. I guess we just don't scare easy" said Misty "She right I've seen many scary thing and after awhile you just get use to it" I said "Until tonight. I'm going to make you my personal "Nightmare Night Challenge"! By the end of the evening, you are going to be screaming and laughing and sharing in all the spooky fun!" said Pipp the doorbell then ringed "Showtime, ponies!" she sang  Jazz ran into Rocky in the streets still looking for the golden pumpkin "Well, well, well. Guess you're not the gifted golden-pumpkin-finder like ya thought!" he said back "Or maybe I'm just not wanting to dish out all my secrets" said Jazz "You must know somethin', 'cause I've checked every garden and flipped over every gourd!" said Rocky "So have I!" said Jazz "Wait. If you've checked everywhere, and I've checked everywhere else... then where could it be? Unless Hitch's big prize... was just quality time spent with your closest friends" said Rocky there was a short pause they then laughed "Nah! That's nuts!" laughed Jazz "Right?!" said Rocky "I'm gonna find the golden pumpkin!" he said "Not if I do first!" said Jazz Opaline walked around wondering was no pony was screaming in terror "Ugh! Why isn't anypony fearing me?! And what are these outfits? Fashion in Equestria has really gone downhill" she said Sweets and Toots then walked up to her "Incredible costume! You look terrifying!" said Sweets "Oh, yeah. And your wings and horn are so realistic. May I?" asked Toots reaching out to touch them "Take another step and I'll banish you to the moon!" hissed Opaline "Whoo! Oh, yeah! Oh, I love that! Seriously, who are you supposed to be? Nightmare Moon?" asked Sweets "Your new worst nightmare!" said Opaline "That was so good!" they said "Seriously, can I hire you for my Nana's birthday? She'd love it!" said Toots "UGH!" Opaline growled she then saw an earth pony filly scream then laugh "I'll show you what to scream about!" she said she step in front of Posey "Whoops! Sorry about that. Wow, look at you. Your costume's fab! And mine? Well, nonexistent. Mine's at my friend Windy's house. It's why I'm in such a hurry! Excuse me!" said Posey "No, no. Excuse me." said Opaline she then lit up her horn and used her magic to steal Posey's cutie mark Posey gasped in horror and ran off screaming "I did it! But it's going to take me all night if I'm going to do this one-by-one. Maybe it's time to regroup and form a new plan.
