Y/N's POV:
"Y/N!" Dina exclaimed upon seeing me lying on the bed. I saw Ellie awkwardly standing in the doorway not knowing what to do with herself. Dina watched as I made eye contact with Ellie and turned around to look at her. "I'm going to go." She said and left. "Please tell me why Ellie Williams needed to tell me you're high and that it's your first time being high?" Dina questioned. "No it's like no." I started. Why am I acting so weird I could die right now. "Gosh are you two in a secret relationship." Dina accused. "No Dina no!" I gasped in shock. "Then what happened?" She asked. "Well Lev made weed brownies and I ate two, because I didn't know okay. Then I came upstairs and Ellie was in here and she went to get you, because 'it's my first time being high.' Nothing more nothing less." I said, defensive in the slightest. Dina rolled her eyes. "This better be the truth." She said. This caused me to roll my eyes even harder. "Can we go home I have work tomorrow." I pleaded. Things now felt awkward and I couldn't help but have a laughing fit even though it wasn't appropriate in the moment. "Note to self never leave Y/N at a party alone." Dina teased. We walked downstairs and I realised just how hungry I was. "I'm hungry." I said and made my way to the kitchen counter, Dina tagged along and watched me pick out different snacks. Someone bumped into me and I turned around ready to slap someone with a bag of chips. "Abby?" I questioned. "Y/N I've been looking for you. Are you okay?" She asked all concerned and motherly. "I'm amazing actually better than most days, just hungry." I replied and held up the bag of chips in my hands. Abby nodded and said something but I was once again too zoned out to know. "Okay you got your snacks now time to go home." Dina said and pulled me by the arm. "Do you think my mum will notice?" I asked. I expected to be panicked but I felt unusually calm about my mother's reaction to me having weed. "You know what let's have a sleepover." Dina said and everything was a blur after that. When I got to Dina's place all I could remember was watching a Peppa Pig marathon and zoning out.
Time-skip to morning
Shit, shit, shit! It's 7:40am, I'm at Dina's house, I have work and no clothes to wear to work. I couldn't wear yesterday's outfit either, gross. Dina and Jesse were sleeping peacefully, what a cute couple. I quickly showered and used a spare toothbrush. I flipped through Dina's closet and found something normal enough for work and ran as quick as possible. When I reached the Tipsy Bison I was out of breath and the clock read 8:10 am. Ellie was already there and busy, Lev wasn't around and nor was Maria. I quickly put my apron on and got to making drinks. I was so out of breathe and my head hurt so bad. "You um okay?" Ellie asked which caused me to jump from shock. "Yeah." I replied. No I was not fine I vaguely remember the nonsense conversation with her and getting totally stoned at Cat's party. She said nothing but passed me a glass of water. "Thanks." I muttered and totally avoided eye contact. The tension between Ellie and I was not hatred and evil anymore, at least I thought so. Now things just felt awkward. The day did not pass by smoothly. My head hurt and sometimes I zoned out and even messed up an order or two. Was I trying to lose this job? By the time lunch came I made my way to the kitchen and Lev wasn't there it was some random looking old dude. "Can I help you?" He asked all uptight and irritated. "Is Lev here?" I asked sounding quieter than usual. "Lev, no he's not here." He said with a scoff. This guy seems annoying. "I didn't know another chef works here." I muttered to myself, but it seems like he heard. "Another chef? I am the chef if anyone is the other chef it's that child Lev." He said in pure offence. This guy was so annoying and so rude. "This is Seth's kitchen." He sort of shouted as I walked off. "I didn't ask." I said irritatedly. He was getting on my nerves especially with the way he spoke about Lev as if he were above him. I noticed Ellie standing in the doorway carefully watching, her presence was annoying me. "Just what this town needs. Another loudmouth dyke." He seethed through his teeth. I saw the rage in Ellie's eyes. "The fuck did you just say?" Ellie questioned. I was way too shocked to even tell this guy off. She started approaching him and by no means was I going to stop her from attacking this bigot. Maria walked in right as Ellie grabbed him by the collar. "Ellie stop!" Maria commanded. Ellie did not stop she punched him in the jaw. "My office now you two." Maria said angrily whilst pulling Ellie away from Seth. So much for lunch. I went back to work and sipped some water from the glass Ellie had passed to me earlier. Ellie wasn't all doom and gloom, she was cool enough to actually stand up to that Seth guy. About half an hour later Ellie came back reeking of cigarettes and she looked like her whole world ended. "That Seth guy is a prick." I said which caused her to look me in the eyes sending shivers down my spine. "No shit." She said back to her usual cold self. "Thanks for standing up for me." I said, maybe I could be her friend. "I didn't do it for you he was just being a huge homophobic bigot nothing new." She said and rolled her eyes. "So what happened with Maria?" I asked carefully. She raised an eyebrow and shook her head. "Maria says I'm too angry and I could get charges pressed against me. What about that filthy prick Seth? He thinks he can talk to you like that." Her voice was so angry and it sounded like she was rambling. "He deserved it you're cool for standing up to him." I complimented and smiled at her. She just looked away. "I'm sorry about last night." I started. Her expressions kept on getting more shook as I spoke. My brain was just as shook at my mouth. "Y/N it's okay." She said her tone was stern. I just nodded. I've been in such a mood lately acting all out and making attempts to fix a broken relationship. Broken? More like smashed. These days I kept wondering if Ellie and I could be friends again. We let a girl mess us up and she's right we shouldn't have. "Do you think we can be friends?" I asked. I blurted it out I didn't even think twice let alone once about saying that. "Friends?" She questioned arms folded and eyebrows raised. "Yeah friends." I said trying my best to be confident. "You're going to have to try a lot harder than that to be friends." She said with much emphasis on friends. "So I will." I said super confidently. What the hell am I doing. Was I gone insane? Dina is so letting me have it after she hears this one. I could swear on my life I saw a small smile. "Can't wait to see." She said but her voice was still as cold as expected. Was she being sarcastic or just cold? She continued wiping counters and I served customers. My stuff was still at Dina's and I was dying to tell her what just happened. Even though Ellie did terrible things to me I couldn't say I was any better. What if this is part of her revenge plan? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer is what they say. Since the café was extremely quiet I pulled out my phone and texted Dina.
