"I'm cold, I'm hungry, I don't want to keep walking, how long till we reach Jake's person's home, I want real answers, I want-" Sam whined.
"You want your name to be complainer." Scout growled. I shot Scout an amused glance but all he showed in his eyes was grumpiness.
"Come on." I yapped. "Lets make a game out of this journey."
"Hide and seek!" Shep barked.
"See who can find Hannah's house first!" Sam howled.
"Sleep, food, fun, Hannah!" Sawyer growled.
"Lets just say random things we see." I barked back in a joyful tune.
"Yay, so much fun." Scout said sarcastically.
"Come on you grumpy hedgehog." I growled. "Your pups are better than you."
"What?! No there not and I'm not a grumpy hedgehog." Scout growled back.
"You sure seem like one." Shaylee shook her head. Many barks of amusement came from the other dogs.
"Hello, my name is Scout, I'm a grump hogged, bark bark bark." Sam yapped in a fake, deep tone. Shep fell over in laughter and sawyer tripped over him. The whole pack was soon laughing, except for Scout.
"You know we're kidding." I cocked my head to Scout.
"Ya, I'm just feel like being grumpy today.
"Nobody else does."
"I can see that."
"Grumpiness doesn't help us travel."
"And falling over with laughter does?"
I had no answer.
"Exactly." Scout growled.
"You proved a point, but still, nobody liked to travel with a grumpy dog."
"Nobody likes to travel with annoying puppies."
"There your puppies and there turning out to be just like you."
"No, I don't complain as much." Scout shook his head, amusement starting to rise.
"Where did Scout go?"
"Sooo funny."
"Sarcasm." I said with a funny tone.
"Are we going to play that game yet?"
I laughed then barked, "Tree, grass, forest, leaves, bark, wood, road, dogs, Scout, my paws, a pack of dogs."
"Sawyer, Shaylee, Scout, Shep, me, Brutis, Harvey, Cocoa, Cloe!" Sam howled.
"Dirt, cars, building-" Brutis started but was cut off. "Building!" He howled. "We reached the place in four days! We need to get deeper in the forest immediately!"
Wailing arose from many of the dogs at the thought of where we had been captured.
"Yes, good eye, Brutis, Lets turn right and head into the forest till we can't here or see the road, then we will continue going forward." I howled the commands.
"I don't want to go back there!" Cocoa cried.
"You won't. The pack knows what we're doing so everything will be ok." Shaylee barked back.
"Where will we go after the building?" Scout growled to me.
"Follow the road."
"And if there become two roads?"
"We will go whatever path I think is the right one."
"And if it's the wrong one?"
"We'll turn around after three days walk."
