"I see buildings!" Brutis howled.

"Where! Where! Cocoa barked frantically.

"In front of us, duh." Harvey barked, amusement in his voice.

"Buildings!" I howled. We all started running towards the buildings and as we got closer our hopes came true, we reached the town!

"Which way to home?!" Cloe yapped with excitement.

"Lets walk along this road, maybe we will see a familiar sight." I ordered

The whole pack was chatting anxiously and many of then kept looking at me, expecting me to say I remember a place.

"See anything?" Scout asked me with a cocked head.

"Not yet, be patient."

I dog started barking madly behind a nearby fence.

"I'll take care of this." Brutis growled. He walked over to the fence and barked deeply back at the dog.

"Go away, you guys strangers." A high pitched voice yapped.

"Help us or i'll bark again." Brutis growled.

"Okay okay, what do you want." The dogs yapped back.

"Do you know a girl named Hannah? Brown hair, Brown eyes, tall."

"Nope, is that all?"

"Have you heard of a place called "Training and Caring"

"Yep."

"Can you tell us where it is."

"I think it's far down town to the right of this fence. I've talked to dogs before that had just come from over there."

"Thank you."

"your welcome."

"There you go, to the right." Brutis growled.

"Thanks, Brutis" I barked back.

"I's a few days walk away for you folks." The high pitched dog sounded again.

"What!? How many days?!" Cocoa snapped.

"About three or four. Maybe five depending of traffic."

"Thank you." I barked. "Come on." I ordered the pack. We turned to the right and started walking again. Brutis quickly walked up to me.

"I don't like the ides of walking in the open like this, I think we need to find a more sheltered place to walk through." He growled.

"Where do you see we can go?" I asked. Brutis growled and walked back to chat with Harvey.

"I can't believe it! only a few days away from Hannah!" Cloe bounded up to me.

"Well, Hannah's place is 20 minutes away from "Training and Caring", So that would be around four hours of walking time extra." I replied.

"Trying to put me down?"

"No, just thinking out loud, I can't believe it either, my question is though, will we have to go back to work? I like it and all, but I don't feel like going back to work as soon as we get home."

"Maybe Hannah will give us a break."

"We've had a long break." I laughed.

"I hope she gives us a break, and I hope she takes in all the other dogs."

"You know that everyone else will get new names, Hannah doesn't know there current names so she will want to give them a name. We will have to learn all their new names and not call them by their old ones."

"I know. Cocoa was telling me that earlier, he said he wants a new name if it means he's Hannah's property."

"Ya."

We walked on and talked on, the usual, boring day. Night started to fall and the air was getting colder still. We stopped by a tree and took turns lapping at two puddles. Harvey, Cocoa, and Shaylee went to look for food while Scout was in charge of the puppies. I watched Scout as he played a game with them, reminding me of when Cloe was that little and I played games with her. Brutis called guarding first and I picked second. Cloe volunteered for third. The hunting patrol came back with only two squirrels and one rabbit. I didn't eat and neither did Brutis. We both decided that everyone else could eat the food. There was only enough for a few bites each dog still though. I settled down to sleep on a pile of dead leaves and the pack soon settled down beside me.

Morning came once again. Lots of cars filled the roads making it hard to travel.

"Is this traffic?" Sam asked.

"Yes, scary, isn't it."

"Yep." Sawyer answered for him.

"I'm not afraid of anything!" Shep boasted.

"I wonder what our new names will be." Harvey barked.

"Rufus!" Scout joked.

"What if we get the same names?" Cocoa asked.

"Then you're lucky." I replied.

"I miss Lucky." Cocoa whined.

"We all do." Cloe whined back.

We kept walking and talking as usual and the day passed on again.
