I was just discussing with Scout about not putting the pack into hunters, patrollers, and having an omega when a raspy bark went through the area and by now I knew it wasn't one of my dogs. The nearby pack had a dog in our territory! Scout jumped at the enemy dog, which was a Dalmatian, and started attacking him.

"Stop, let's hear why he is in our territory and then we can attack him as a lesson or we can keep him captive." I barked over the noise.

"Fine." Scout grunted.

"Why are you in are land!?" I snarled at the enemy dog.

"My name is SpittFeather. I am a messenger from the other pack, terror is the pack name. My Alpha wants to make the agreement 100% certain that neither of us will get out of it by giving each other one dog from each of our packs. At the end of the two weeks you can keep the dog or trade it for your own dog back." He told me.

"I volunteer myself!" Hailey's voice rise from the crowd.

" How do you feel about that, scout?" I asked Scout.

"Go ahead." He said. I could detect a small part of his voice that sounded happy.

"I can take her now and come back with one of our dogs." SpittFeather said.

"As long as your back with the other dog by sunset." I growled at him.

"I will." He replied with as he started to trot away with Hailey. We all whined goodbye to her as they left and then we had to get back to hunting. Scout and I sat at the halfway point between the two territories to wait for spit to come back. About one hour later he returned with a pup that looked like he was almost to a preteen age. He set the pup in front of me and said

"This is Cometpaw, soon to be conmetblaze. As you can tell, he is an Doberman. He is loyal and will serve you well." Then he trotted away.

"Hello! I am here to serve you while our packs are serving each other." Comet tapped joyfully.

"Hi!" Cloe's voice appeared.

"Cloe, go do something useful please." Scout barked to her. So Cloe slowly left us and went to find Shaylee.

"Let us show you around." I told the newcomer. As we walked through our new camp Scout did all the talking, he must of noticed that I was lost in thought. I was glancing at the dens as I noticed a tall, dark figure sneaking around behind the dens."It must just be one of our dogs hunting." I thought to myself.

"Um, Jake, Why are you still walking around the territory, we finished the tour."Scout said in a confused tone.

"Oh, sorry, didn't notice."I mumbled, embarrassment showing in my voice. I trotted off to see how much prey had been brought back to camp and to send off a patrol.

"Where is Shaylee?" Cloe asked as I walked passed her on my way to the food pile.

"lets go find out." I barked in reply. I immediately headed toward the area I saw the dark figure lurking.

As we walked quickly yet silently through the forest, I heard the sound of a figure running away from out area.

"Stop where you are!" I howled into the eerie silence. Cloe and I charged together as brother and sister to the sound of paw steps. We raced on as the sent and sounds got stronger of the unknown dog. Then suddenly a howl of despair stopped us.

"I give up!" A familiar she-dog's voice whined out.

"Who Are you?!" Cloe barked, I picked up the sounds of fear and courage in her voice.
