- this was supposed to be posted over the weekend but life had other plans and became very chaotic so i hope these next three chapters make up for the wait again lol... here we go! 🍿
- originally, this chapter was incredibly long, so i split it into two parts... part three will wrap everything up regarding the flashback perspective :)
- with that being said, i'm editing pt. 2 now and i'm hoping it'll be ready to be published by tonight. my goal is to have the remaining two parts published by tomorrow! 🤞🏾

SPENCER & OLIVIA'S APARTMENT
ONE WEEK LATER

The soft glow of the lamp illuminated the room as Spencer sighed and wrapped his arm around the body nestled next to him on the comfy couch. A content smile played on his lips as he moved closer, relishing in the warmth of the presence.
The night had been long and greatly anticipated—filled with moments of making up after the ache of missing each other. Now, with Olivia back in his arms, Spencer felt an overwhelming sense of relief.
Her flight landed early yesterday morning, and for her first day back home, all she wanted to do was stay inside and lay around all day with her boys—to which her boyfriend would never be opposed.
Words couldn't express how much he missed her.
"Hey." He whispered, his voice a gentle sound that made Olivia's cheeks flush with a sweet feeling, while he pressed his lips into the softness of her skin.
"Hi." She turned to him, her eyes sparkling while he kissed her again, savoring the missed feeling of her lips against his.
Spencer's smile grew as he gazed into her eyes, only to watch her glance over at their sleeping prince. Olivia couldn't help but caress her baby's cheek tenderly as she snuggled a little closer to the one-year-old.
She was so happy to be back with her boys.
"Missed you both so much." She confessed, kissing Kai's head before kissing Spencer's hand that was positioned over her shoulders.
The one-year-old's eyes fluttered open shortly after, revealing the familiar sparkle that Olivia longed to see. As Kai slowly woke up, his mother's heart swelled with affection. Spencer, observing the tender moment between his two favorite people, couldn't help but smile himself. He was always moved by the bond between Olivia and Kai.
After a few moments of cuddling and watching cartoons, Olivia noticed the telltale signs that it was time for a diaper change.
"Nah, baby, you rest." Spencer suggested as he sat up, ready to take the shift before Olivia shook her head with a playful grin.
"I got it. I feel like I've been away for so long, I actually missed changing diapers." She joked, eliciting a laugh from Spencer.
"Say, we'll be right back, Daddy." She cooed, scooping Kai into her arms as she rose from the couch.
