Spencer stirred awake, a soft smile curling on his lips as fragments of last night danced through his mind. The warmth of Olivia's touch, the sweetness of her kiss, the depth of their connection—it all felt so right, so perfectly natural.

He yawned, stretching his arms above his head, savoring the memories before reaching over to pull her close again.

But his hand met cold sheets instead.

His eyes snapped open, the sudden absence yanking him from his drowsy reverie. Anxiety twisted his heart as he sat up, scanning the room, searching for any sign that she was still there—that it hadn't all been a dream.

His gaze darted around, lingering on the empty spot beside him, the disheveled sheets a stark contrast to the vivid memories of her presence. His heart raced, the silence amplifying his unease.

His phone buzzed on the nightstand, dragging his attention momentarily. Picking it up, he saw a message from Coop and as he started typing a response, another message caught his eye — one from Olivia, sent earlier that morning.

❤️: Good morning! Had to leave early to help your mom. Nana's bringing Kai so we'll see you at the church 😚

His heartbeat slowed, and he chuckled, a relieved sigh escaping his lips. He rubbed his eyes, the weight on his chest lifting before he leaned back against the headboard, thoughts of Olivia swirling in his mind.

The room still held the faint scent of her presence, a subtle reminder of the intimacy they had shared. Last night had been everything he'd missed and more. The way she fit into his arms, the way they moved together—it was as if no time had passed at all.

His smile widened as he envisioned her bright eyes and infectious smile. Each kiss, each touch, had reignited the spark between them, filling the void that had grown during their time apart.

Now, his heart felt lighter with the anticipation of seeing her again, dispelling the last remnants of doubt.

Simone stood in front of a mirror in the church dressing room, adjusting the straps of her dress and fluffing her hair, the excitement of the wedding festivities floating in the air.

Her phone buzzed on the dresser, pulling her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the screen to see a message from her man, who had left early that morning and was letting her know that the baseball team had made it to their destination.

Her face lit up with a smile, and she quickly typed back a response, adding some kiss emojis for good measure.

I miss you already 😫 bring me back a win! 💋💋
